…lack of originality, along with wokeness, the red ink carnage of the streaming wars, and the lingering effects of the most recent strikes, has led to a deep recession in Hollywood, so much so that Deadline has a regular Hollywood Contraction feature.

    I don’t like to see people suffer, but with the Hollywood crowd, it’s pure schadenfreude all the way.

  2. When the Jews ran Hollywood it was a going concern. Then the socialists ran it into the ground, like they do with everything they control.

    1. The Jews at least understood that the films needed to be entertaining if they were to be successful. There may well have been messages – and many of the films of those days do have messages – but said messages were did not overwhelm good stories and good acting.

  8. This will simply get worse for Hollywood in the wake of AI. Now AI can write all the movie scripts, and AI can generate moving images of actors.

      1. The prediction of the future direction of crap like Chatgpt is almost uncanny. The portrayal of anything by Adam Sandler as sheer garbage is all too appropriate. But then South Park always was the leading edge of what was worthless in modern society with humour that bites oh so deep.

        I can’t help but suspect that things like AI and Chatgpt are going to destroy Hollywood even faster than the Disney implosion under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy. And with the rubbish they’ve been dishing out, they deserve it.

      2. The irony is that Schneider is a staunch conservative, and that although his stupid comedies are where he makes his money, Sandler is a surprisingly good actor (see Reign Over Me, and to some extent Fifty First Dates).

    Its a good thing money has no value anymore :).. Float me a few of those borrowed billions because Im fighting the good fight :).. Hollywood hates what it is and would rather play politics on our dime than deliver low brow entertainment..
