Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Californians voted for this, they now get to live with it.
Elections have consequences.
Hell I would just leave.
How? If you don’t have the resources to leave, how do you get out? Is this really any different from serfdom?
It is a state, there are other freer states. It isn’t like leaving a country. A couple of times in my life I packed up and changed places without having much in the way of resources. Sometimes you just have to do it.
For those paying attention… sounds very much like Kanadahar
This old quote is relevant here:
Two centuries ago a somewhat obscure Scotsman named Tytler made this profound observation: “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits, with the result that the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy.”
