Tuesday On Turtle Island

Blackie’s Canada:  Queen’s University has fallen.  A diversity outbreak in Montreal.  Canada’s Indians and democracy.  Communist Party pressured Canadian MPs.

The Planet Is Boiling News:  A return to mainstream alarmist headlines.  And CO2 starvation.

Dementia Joe’s America:  Biden’s SOTU in five minutes.  Joe Biden is as callous as it gets.  Victor Davis Hanson on Biden’s SOTU.

Your morning meme.  Another meme.   A cartoon.

  1. News flash: Queen’s “University” (snicker) – which I turned down (twice) – fell decades ago!

    1. A potlach where slaves were sacrificed (and sometimes eaten) to prove how wealthy the chiefs of the tribes were?

  2. Canada’s Indians and democracy

He’s a racist, but he isn’t wrong. Neither Canada nor the United States are democracies, they’re republics in which the rights of the minority are (ostensibly) protected by a code of laws. When the left starts banging on about “muH dEmOCrAcY” they’re talking about collectivism.

    1. They are actually talking about killing people because that is where the left/communist action lead.

  3. Joe Biden is as callous as it gets.

I got that big time when watching the VP election debate between Biden and Paul Ryan. I’m no fan of Paul Ryan but I was well and truly shocked by Biden’s utter contempt for him. Theretofore I had considered Biden a mere lifer pol, a mid wit, a shameless liar, a phoney, fiction story teller and plagiarist. I had been unaware of how partisan and vicious he is, and also surprised at the lack of commentary about this aspect of that debate.

The US instituted the presidential two-term limit because of FDR’s 4 terms. If there is ever a similar act for congress critters, it should reference Joseph Robinette Biden’s 50 year career as the inspiration. I’m an advocate of term limits for congress critters: O N E.

    1. I’d argue that not only should there be term limits for politicians, there should also be term limits for government workers and politician’s support staff, which are just as much a problem as the politicians themselves.

      1. I have thought about and discussed term limits over the years. Won’t work when the party machine just has another clone cued up to replace the previous party clone.
