  1. Amazing. A multi-bilionnaire and THAT is his catch? Bill Gates and this guy have proven conclusively that you can be rich as hell and still be loser.

  2. Re: B+W Movie.

In 1954, the mot powerful engine in conventional passenger cars was the Chrysler 195 V8. There was also a 215 HP available in the New Yorker, however that model would not have been utilized in a cop car.

My personal choice to catch a thief would have been a 1954 Olds Rocket 88 with a 185 HP Rocket engine. The Olds was always underrated and was equipped with a Hydramatic tranny. My last choice?? A Nash Ambassador.

    Thanks for the entertainment.

      1. To be fair there’s a huge difference: Ukraine is across the border from Russia, while Great Britain was separated from the American colonies by the Atlantic Ocean, which was mostly why the colonists got their independence when they wanted. It was, basically, the same for all other colonies of European powers in America.

        1. As I have posted before, I love history and geography. Yes, I agree about the separation of the colonies from the European occupying powers because of the Atlantic Ocean, but I also think that the Napoleonic wars caused Spain and Portugal to give up their Central and South American colonies sooner, rather later as Spain and Portugal were busy fighting France. And yes, I know about the efforts of Simon Bolivar AKA The Great Liberator, but how else to explain all the independence days in 1820? As well, Haiti became independent in 1820 (again was that because France was busy fighting European wars?).
I still think that the colonies of Great Britain did much better after independence. Canada had the BNA act in 1867, a full 47 years after Haiti became independent, yet Canada for most of its history, has done so much better than Haiti.

          1. Soon to follow Haiti, as we import the Haitian mindset with millions of welfare immigrants.

Keep in mind Canada was majority white people who felt no guilt about being white. Produced wealth and made the country prosper. We are now flushing that.

          2. Yes, obviously the colonies of Great Britain did much better after independence, which is why English is now the international language. The British knew how to make their colonies work and make profits and that made them attractive for skilled labour from other European countries, who were happy to integrate into their new societies without demanding anything from people who were already there (unlike the present-day “enrichers”).

The most prosperous former colony of France is Vietnam and it has almost completely shed the French legacy. Compare Vietnam to the USA and you’ll see the difference in colony-building approach. The French legacy in Canada, by the way, is nothing but a burden.

        1. I admit, I certainly have missed the point.
The way I see it, both sides will take this to the fullest advantage, although I can’t see how Biden’s team will spin this, but they’ll get help from their friends in the media, I’m sure.
          (Cue GYM blaming “Bible-thumpers” or “pedo-priests” in 3… 2… 1……)

  3. Abedin was allegedley hillary’s love interest. They were close, but i have seen no proof of them being lovers.

But she seems to want to be close to powerful people.

  4. Rental rates in Canada continue to increase (spiral out of control).

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/rentals-report-average-asking-1.7114976

Rates across Canada are up 10% year over year in an economy with a 3% inflation rate. Sure. Rates are up 20% since 2020 on average, and up 18.5% in one year for roomies.

Almost 50% of Canadians spend more than 1/3 of their income on rent, yet inflation is dropping to 3% when renting has increased by 10%. Again, if you believe the government posted inflation rate, you’re an idiot.

    1. The federal government’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada provides generous rent subsidies to all refugee claimants and many other new arrivals so the cost of housing isn’t an important issue.

      1. Because they hire the immigrants to pick the money off the money tree and send it to the government?

      2. And who do you suppose pays for that generous rent subsidy? More Canadians go homeless while the government brings in a whopping half-million immigrants annually, mostly from areas supporting terrorism, and all the while, seemingly unable to build new housing despite all of their “investments” for that very objective.

      1. In the very same headline: “…but the cost of living keeps going up.”
Nothing about this corrupt government makes any sense until you realize what this government is really up to, and that their agenda is not in the interests of Canadians overall.

  5. La Press news is reporting that ArriveScam coordinator, has received $258-million in contracts from the Liberal government since 2015. This company is run from a farmhouse in rural Ontario:

Don’t know if my tablet translator works with this link.

A Globe and Mail report earlier said that the three info-tech outsourcing companies used by the Liberal government (including GCStrategies) pulled in half a billion dollars in federal contracts since 2015.

  6. A curious press release by the United Nations.

    https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/02/1146492

The climate crisis is leading to rising hunger. Many of the most affected are farmers themselves. So the UN needs $2.1 trillion.

No mention of the farmer protests in Holland, Germany, France, and Greece. Probably because that is where the $2.1 trillion is being harvested from.

  9. Recession alert. A few months ago, leasing a truck was with 6.99% interest. But if you “buy now” the rate is down to 0.99%, surely a sign of a slowing economy.

    https://www.gmccanada.ca/en

    That’s 0.99% for 5 years.

  10. Viva Frei is live streaming Fanni Whatyoutalkinbout Willis trial

She’s actually clapping back at the prosecutor while lying.

    1. FANI WILLIS: “Where’s Belize? What continent? I’m not being funny. I don’t know. I’ve been to Belize with him. I’ve been to The Bahamas with him. I’ve been to Aruba with him. Don’t embarrass me. I’m not sure what continents those are on.”

  11. CSIS report warns about deplorables. Basically if you oppose any Liberal policy you are a bad person and must be watched.
    From Canadian Press –
“CSIS defines an ideologically motivated violent extremist movement as a loosely organized collection of people, linked by virtual and offline networks, who share a distinct identity.
Such movements have adversarial relations with clearly identified opponents, and aim to carry out, resist or undo social change, the intelligence service’s brief says.
A movement does not have a formal or legitimate leader, but rather is guided by the people who join it in more or less spontaneous fashion, CSIS says.
Perry said the move toward these looser, individual−based movements is “a worrying trend” in some respects because it’s “much more difficult to identify which of those hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people” is going to commit an act of extreme violence.”

Would I be paranoid if I said CSIS reads SDA?

    1. Good catch.
      Quite funny.
I guess we can fire all at CSIS.
      This summary is pathetic.
And now we know, not suspect, that CSIS was actively spying on and lying about Citizens who protested the Covid Madness and State of Thuggery.
Lying and Spying..cause it is the Canadian Kleptocrats WAY.
