Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

The Judge who decided the legality of The Emergencies Act has been practicing law for +40 years. He referred to this act of parliament as being “illegal” and unconstitutional.
“Polling Canada” asks people if the honking horns are a bother, and if those doing so should be stopped because it’s annoying.
Somehow this galvanises my opinion that Canada is entirely led by imbeciles, that if they’re left to their own standards there’d be very few people left without being locked up. If it isn’t honking your truck’s horn, it’s building a deck without a permit, and there’s room for you inside…
https://twitter.com/howisthismylif/status/1749855095632560286
When is the referendum for AB/Sask. to leave this bullshit country?
When will the imbecile PM Trudeau address his growing calls to resign and call an election?
@marc: It’s BS. “PollingCanada” seems to be a PR X channel for Nanos, so no surprises at all. Nanos has been always in the pocket of Librano$. Pro-Turd all the time.
yes, I did think it was a trash or push poll…
Nanos are typically self-selecting polls. Nanos has a bunch of names they use and then they email them and ask them to participate. People can then decide if they want to participate or not. They are not valid.
More like, too many imbeciles led exclusively by imbeciles. There are too many docile compliant sheeple in this country for it to ever get fixed.
You and Dan are correct. A skilled polster can produce any results you want simply by framing the questions effectively. Nanos has been in the business for a long time and knows how to do this. Any consultant’s first job is to give the client the results it wants. It’s not that hard. Let me frame the question and I can produce a majority of people who think that the second coming of Christ is a bad thing.
Polling is not really about what people think. It’s a conjurer’s trick in persuasion or propaganda.
polls.
l got a theory about polls.
try this:
political group x continually and continually and continually but otherwise in secret, commission opinion polls. then, when one hits the ‘target’ (it might even be that ‘1 in 20’ off the mark, no matter!) THAT is the one that gets trotted out as ‘proof’ of ongoing support.
rinse and repeat.
“When is the referendum for AB/Sask. to leave this bullshit country?”
You won’t get it with Liberal supporter Moe. I attended a meeting to find ideas to deal with the current federal government. When I suggested separation I got very little support and many excuses for not separating. So separation is off the table for now. Here is Saskatchewan they sure love their abusive federal government.
I see “Thunder Thighs” Freeland is appealing the decision. Of course she is…she’d much prefer the uber liberal, pedo cuddlers at the SCOC but that might have to wait.
Correction, it’s “pierogi thighs”.
I like ham hocks
100% of pediatric surgeons have refused the offer of perogi thighs for dinner. They would rather sit on the Sophie.
How About Twitchy Witch? ( from Ezra)
She has legs that belong on a pool table.
Ackshully, Cottage Cheese Thighs would be more appropriate.
She finds it hard to stray from her fascist roots.
Put a babooshka on her and I can imagine her as a peasant woman picking potatoes in a field, like out of a Borat skit.
Stumpy the Skank
I’m old school: “The Red Dwarf” (a nickname that might have been coined at this august site; Kate correct me if I’m wrong) Freeland etc…
The people really don’t want a free society. They easily sign up for free stuff. Between the keep the conservatives out at any cost group, the I want the free stuff group ,the government employee group that creates no wealth, and the Liberal grifters,we are screwed . UBI and fear mongering and there you have it,Justin is PM again. It is looking a lot like we are going to get Kate’s famine.
I never understood the hate and othering the truckers experienced in Ottawa. They were treated as lepers.
Some of it was media driven, and many Canadians have a herd mentality.
“Some of it was media driven, and many Canadians have a herd mentality.”
All of it was media driven, and most Canadians have a herd mentality,
Fixed it for you, and you’re welcome.
“All of it was media driven, and most Canadians have a herd mentality,”
Correction: all of it was media driven, and Turd owns the media.
Ottawa has a whopping 130,000 federal employees…you couldn’t pick a worse venue if you tried.
Burton, but you have to give them credit. They chose the most barren wasteland in all of Canada, Wellington Street in winter. More desolate than 101st. and Jasper in February.
Well it is Ottawa after all….a city that lives out of the pockets of taxpayers and provides little of anything of value.
They were a subset of the leper class Trudeau created with his rhetoric against the people who refused the mRNA jab. That’s why they were so hated.
“For those whose bank accounts the government froze, those who remain on trial for trumped up charges, and those who were pepper sprayed, tear gassed, or zip tied while protesting for freedom, this week’s news might be too little to late.”
Come on Andrew, “too little, too late”
Too many Canadians have a tyrannical streak. In discussing the Convoy or Jordan Peterson’s treatment, they have no issues with government’s or the courts handling of these issues. Sometimes these discussions are in person, and sometimes online. I get the impression that as long as a leftist philosophy is supported, they do not care about violations to the Constitution or Charter. They also seem to care little about media censorship and are happy to swallow whatever narrative is being presented by the media. The Globe’s dismissal of Leslyn Lewis is a good example. A particularly snotty piece, but more importantly the Globe takes no interest in this important issue. Canadians are really easy to deceive — as long as they can hold on to their illusions of living in a fine country. I think many could be living under complete tyranny and they would still support the government, and think of themselves as “nice” because they do not complain. They are often hostile and unsympathetic to anyone who does complain about the loss of freedom.
OMG…
We’ve turned our politicians into professional grifters.
Acting for the camera’s in such idiotic ways… your all racist because we say so…
Canadian sheeple are more comfortable living in East Germany than were the East Germans.
“Too many Canadians have a tyrannical streak.”
Too many Canadians have a complicity streak.
Fixed it for you again and you’re welcome. Far too many Canadians are more than willing to comply to what they are told to do. Far too many Canadians left their “two year old” question at the door of the Kindergarten class when they began school and never picked it up again when they graduated. The question used to be “Why? Daddy!” or “Why? Mommy!”, when anyone asks WHY? today you get the usual answer “Because it’s the law or because the government says so.”. Look at the Covid scam, at the unrelenting march to oblivion with green energy, the immigration problem, the housing crisis, the examples are limitless, the herd stampedes along because the government says so and no-one questions why because if you do you’re labeled some kind of ism or phobic.
Compassion and complicity will be our downfall because no one asks the question “WHY?”
Ant, Great point, WHY indeed!
Many of the CUCK politicos are lawyers, will they set up a front to help Freeland loose on appeal, or will they go full “we are not like that” bible pounding?
“loose on appeal”???? Really? Loose? Not tight? SHEESH!!!!! I thought this stuff was taught in Grades 2 or 3.
It was…but some weren’t paying attention.
Freeland, and “bible-pounding.” I’d like to hear the explanation on how Freeland is associated with the so-called “bible-pounding,” Freeland herself being the offspring of well-known Nazi Propagandists.
Every time I see you uttering unbelievable prejudice, bigotry, and hate towards people of faith, GYM, I will be there to call you out on it.
Disgraceful comment. I suppose you side with Hamas against the “bible-pounding” Jews as well, do you?
fc, Although not at all religious, I do agree with you. However, I think you mean “Torah pounding” LOL
Jews pounded the NT right out of their Bibles.
I am suffering from an extreme bout of cognitive dissonance from trying to make sense out of that nonsequitor. Just buzz off and stop trying to prove SMA is some kind of haven for antisemites by posting such garbage.
The problem might be that Canada is full of “Ordinary Men” (and women). Not to the extremes of WW2, but with the same psychological mindset.
“Ordinary Men” by Christopher R. Browning…Browning argues that the ordinary middle-aged men committed these atrocities out of a mixture of motives, including the group dynamics of conformity, deference to authority, role adaptation, and the altering of moral norms to justify their actions. The book reveals some unsettling truths about ‘ordinary’ human cruelty and viciousness. The conclusion of the book, influenced in part by the famous Milgram experiments popularized in the 1970s, was that the men of Unit 101 killed out of obedience to authority and peer pressure.”
You could definitely see this dynamic occurring in Canada with the demonization of the unvaccinated and the freedom convoy.
Ordinary is double speak for “coward”.
I think of it as people who are easy manipulated because they do not have core principles that they refuse to compromise. Morally flexible people are easily exploited by appealing to fear, greed, ego etc. Quirks of human nature that can be abused by malevolent people.
LC – they simply don’t believe it can happen here – but it is.
If it looks like a duck, acts like duck, sounds like a duck…just replace duck with authoritarian. But, for some reason, people don’t see a duck even when the Prime Minister says how much he admires ducks.
I am more of the inclination of Kipling in his poem,
https://www.europeanamericansunited.org/school1/Fiction/kipling/awakened.htm
The ordinary man just wants to be left alone to create and enjoy his life and the lives of his family. The problems arise when power seekers infiltrate and instigate changes to his chosen way of life. No ordinary man wants to go to war, but he is most often driven to it by the actions and desires of others.
There was a video a short time ago when the Irish demonstrations started that I would like to capture. It featured a young Irish woman telling a pro-Palistinian protester that he’d be sorry for what the Palistinian terrorists did because, and I’ll paraphrase here, what she said was something along the lines of “When we get started we destroy Continents!” Yes the world would do well to learn from Kipling, we can be only driven so far.
Ant, You should perhaps also reference Kipling’s “Gods of the Copybook Headings” as well. Apparently, people simply refuse to learn, and therefore need reminding……. That water IS wet, and fire WILL burn!
Every poll touted by the MSM is a lie. Do not allow your enemies to define how you think about events. Remember back in the early 2000s when everyone in MSM was pushing the “fact” that 30% of the population is gay and every major historical figure was gay? Well, it turns out only 3% of the population is actually gay (and I’d bet a big chunk of that is due to the gender confusion they’re pushing in grade school).
All I know is how remarkably well I feel today following the Emergency Act decision and the soon-to-be completed TM pipeline. We’re getting our country back.
The convoy showcased the utter contempt Liberals and NDP have for the working class. Not a good look for the Jagmeet Singhs and other NDP hopefuls of Canada who make their bones championing causes for
unionsthe blue collar set. They could’ve shut up and given them a wink or a nod and come out smelling like a rose…but oh no, not Jagmeet. “Dangerous and divisive” as I recall. What a “insert world’s oldest profession here.Phoney P’s O S.
Jagmeat decided to read out a statement how they reluctantly supported the Emergency Act Declaration, never mind the histrionics of members like Heather McPherson:
” Mr. Speaker, what happened in Coutts, Alberta, is unprecedented. The Conservatives in the House are downplaying the severity of what is happening and are pretending that the threat is over.
There was a plot to murder RCMP officers by dangerous extremists. Millions of dollars are still coming in from foreign sources to fund these hate groups. When will the government bring forward legislation to halt all—”
or Brian Masse:
“Mr. Speaker, the Ambassador Bridge blockade cost over $1 billion in economic losses. The bridge is now open, but new barricades are blocking local business. We have cancellations of doctor and health appointments and continued job losses. Since the Emergencies Act started, further convoys have been turned back and resources have been invested to protect this national route, even when we just recently faced a bomb threat.
The government has offered support for Ottawa businesses affected by the occupation, and that is good. Will this government ensure that it is helping all the border municipalities and the workers who were harmed by the convoy crisis, because it still carries on?”
Or Leah Gazan:
“Mr. Speaker, we know that prominent Republicans in the U.S. have voiced their support for this illegal occupation, including Donald Trump. Ottawa Police Service noted concerns over the significant amount of foreign funding supporting the convoy. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton criticized GoFundMe’s decision to block the remaining funding, saying that they “failed to deliver Texans’ money”.
This seems like international interference. Is my colleague is as concerned as I am about the foreign funding that has funded and fuelled this illegal occupation, which literally brought—”
Or Alexandre Boulerice:
“…Does my colleague not believe that being able to freeze bank accounts that are funding these illegal occupations is a good thing for preventing money from Donald Trump supporters and the United States from flowing in and being used to organize these sieges and protests?”
Not much “reluctance” there
Notice that the NDP have not called out the Liberals for all the money they’ve received from Chinese donors.
No one gets it. No one. Unless there are penalties for unlawfully stripping Canadians of their Constitutional rights, it will happen again. The entire legal process is laughably irrelevant. If no one pays any price, we have no rights except on paper.
Yup!
And when does the corporal punishment begin?
The “Emergencies Act” needs to be rewritten so a fascist like Trudeau can’t use it as a whim to clamp down on something he doesn’t like. That’s the problem…..he did it and got away with it and that shows just how easy it is for a totalitarian to completely override our Charter of Rights. Unless the Emergencies Act is rewritten to stop that from happening, our Charter of Rights is a “parchment guarantee” and nothing more.
Exactly. We live in the era of the Weakness of Mercy, except for those who deserve mercy. Calling good evil, etc. This is Bananada now and never has a peel been reattached. We’re yellow and mushy in the meat of the post-nation.
Watching a WW1/2 doc from German POV regarding then CDN soldiers. We were regarded as “unpredictable savages.” The best slogan an army could ever dream of … but quickly we shamed ourselves into “peace keepers.” That was the beginning of composing a fraudulent national narrative that’s so deeply entrenched, we’ve got tampons in the military men’s room.
The only thing that would ever “fix” Bananada is her de-confederation. Alberta, Sask at the minimum needs to become independent nations and pronto!
Polls are always skewed to get the client’s desired results.
The Dippers called during the last Alberta Provincial election. The question was “would I throw my support behind the RCMP?” At the time, Knothead was 110% in keeping the criminals in place. I responded I would never support criminals who break into homes and steal lawfully owned property or commit acts of vandalism. I then hung up, wishing for the old days of the rotary phone that could be slammed down into the caller’s ear.
Mike T, rather than wish for the od days just push any key on the pad and get a squeal delivered, not as satisfying as slamming the phone down but a small FU, none the less.
The power of government propaganda perpetuated through a compliant and bought off “media”.
I can’t figure out why folks who went out and got jabbed would have a hard time believing 66% of the population supported turdo’s invocation of the EA.
Turns out the “experts” never recommended the jab for travel. But Trudeau could not resist doing it anyway.
https://twitter.com/bambkb/status/1750215453043990707?s=20
It’s a bit of a Trojan horse for the Conservatives to have this court decision before an election, because they will probably not want to risk being too strident about it, having essentially supported Trudeau by their shameful ambivalence about the issues generated by the freedom convoy (what our “so called” media calls the “so called” freedom convoy). I know Erin Oh Tool! was leader and not Peeping Polly, but even so, it was max and only max who spoke out against the government’s approach on any number of issues during the fauxdemic.
So will PP raise the issue or keep silent and focus on things he won’t be called on so easily?? We shall see. But Canadian voters should remember that the CPC was not really the loyal opposition to Trudeau for most of the past eight years, but a co-enabler, and that is because big business interests who support CPC are co-enablers. Globalists to use the correct term.
As to Trudeau resigning over this, what’s the point, any given Liberal was equally complicit. Freeland would likely replace him and if anything, she’s a bigger fascist (communist? same difference really) than Fidelito.
^^^ +++
Thanks for saving me all that typing.
Just took a poll that found 85% of those polled don’t think any poll that doesn’t back their views is accurate.
If we combine Freeland’s actions, defending her indefensible action during Covid “Its an emergency” and then walking away as her security detail abuses a citizens rights and freedoms, right before her eyes these 2 years later..
One can see the utter contempt this creature has for the citizens of Canada..
Pattern is obvious.
Yet she is the elected representative of such citizens.
So what of these citizens ?
Who repeatedly elect this treacherous thug?
WEXIT is unavoidable, because we in the West have nothing in common with citizens who condone these Oxygen Thieves.
There is no “Reforming” Canada.
There is retribution …left as an option.
Separation is the only fiscally responsible solution to the Bankruptcy of Canada, the West did not vote for the wasters and thieves, why should we accept responsibility for their debts?
