SEND MORE NEEDLES

They appear to be working.

With the number available as of Monday, Saskatchewan may have hit another record for drug overdose deaths in 2023 — potentially putting the tally at eight of the last nine years in which the province has hit a record.

The current numbers go up to Dec. 31, and show 291 confirmed drug overdose deaths in 2023, with another 193 suspected.

If all of those suspected deaths are confirmed, that would put the province at 484 overdose deaths, which would beat the current record of 404 from 2021. Even if half the suspected deaths are confirmed, that would still put the number of deaths in 2023 above the total reported in 2022, when there were 356.

  1. I want to know how many the STC are responsible for.
Arcand has bragged in the past about how many he gives out.
He is a failed leader, running failing shelters and casing more misery for his ‘relatives’.

    1. Arcane is a prime doofus. Always someone else’s problem to clean up, zero accountability, zero brains, and a racist. But he’s a great leader everyone coos about how great he is, he’s also butt pals with Charlie Kkklarkkk so there’s that.

  2. Looks like a good trend, and a common one with BC. Despite the “legalization” of “SAFE DRUGS”, OD deaths continue to escalate in the People’s Demokratic Republic of British Columbianski…..oh, and remember, the deaths are from TOXIC STREET DRUGS, not SAFE SUPPLY©️.
It looks like the only ones that believe in this stupid program are politicians, social workers, druggies and bad parents who didn’t raise their kids properly!

    1. Well … at least they died doing what they loved. Right? Leftist monsters? At least they didn’t die of AIDS from dirty needles, Right?

  3. in the last maybe 4 yrs, somewhat b4 covid, lve seen roughly 2 dozen of them shooting up in public or an ambulance after theyre done.
ZERO before that. oh look, right in the middle of the TURDeau’s reign (ruin?).

  4. Baahhhh! Bloody amateurs! 484 is a drop in the bucket compared to death-by-jab.

  5. Those are rookie numbers!

“ In 2021, Philadelphia lost 1,276 people to unintentional fatal overdose”

    USA! USA! USA!

    1. ^the Philly Metro Area is what 5.785M people (2023 statistics), most of those fent deaths are in Regina and Saskatoon which combined metro areas are roughly 450-500k people.

So yeah we’re actually kicking your butts at 1.08 deaths per 1000 due to fent OD’s vs Philly’s 0.22 deaths per 1000!!

We killing you guys by 0.86 dead ODers per 1000 residents.

  6. ““We are constantly evaluating the services that we’re providing and the locations where they’re offered so that we’re delivering the services to the people of Saskatchewan where they need (them) when they need,” McLeod told guest host Taylor MacPherson on the Evan Bray Show on Monday.”

Does that include tracking what happens to those people when they have finished their 28 day get clean program? How many of the deaths were from people who had “successfully” completed the program?

  7. If it were MLA and Members of Parliment offspring, there would be monster ministries at the provincial and federal levels and dump truck loads of cash being dumped into ending the “crisis”.

    1. Welcome to BC. All the Dilaudid a junkie would ever want is available from Nannystate!
The junkies get the D, and sell it to buy street level fentanyl. D doesn’t give them the high they demand.

  8. I expect the number of deaths caused by overdose of drugs will continue to increase as long as the population increases. Coincidence? – so will the number of deaths by all other causes. I don’t care if they “set a new record.”

  9. I always wonder how a motorcycle salesman feels after handing the keys to superbike over to a cocky 18 year old who had his mother co-sign the 0 down financing.

Not the same as a social worker I suppose.

Only one of them is hoping to see their client again.

  10. Hmmmm… I always thought Saskatchewan was immune from big city problems. A vast expanse of flat land dotted with Letterkenny towns.
