    A court in Ontario, Canada has ruled the slang term ‘groomer’ – used to describe individuals targeting young people or minors for exploitation and especially sexual activity – is not protected speech when used against drag performers who seek audiences of kids. The ruling was made as part of a defamation case against someone who allegedly called a drag performer and a LGBTQ organization “groomers”.

    It’s a bit of an odd movie though, for some reason I get the insinuation, although there is no direct reference, that the love affair produced the Canadian hero. DId the old man know? Perhaps I missed something or this was just excellent quality British war-time propaganda, which, of course, I fully support.

    The person writing the article (from Sacramento) sees the outrage of plagiarism by conservatives as a problem. I think the greater problem is the lack of outrage by her peers on the subject of plagiarism when many students were expelled from the university for doing the very same thing.

    “For presidents to be taken down like this, it does not bode well for academic freedom,” she said. “I think it’ll chill the climate for academic freedom. And it may make university presidents less likely to speak out against this inappropriate interference for fear of losing their jobs or being targeted.”

    How does taking down a president for plagiarism and neglecting to condemn genocide link to academic freedom?

    Final paragraph really says it all.

  17. Excellent short essay in the City Journal about the uselessness of carbon taxes to achieve their stated aims. In short, the carbon tax is all about filling government coffers.
