The U.S. government is dropping six charges against crypto scammer Sam Bankman-Fried including campaign finance violations and conspiracy to commit bribery charges.
Making bribes with stolen money is fine as long as that money is going to U.S. politicians.
SBF donated $100 million during the 2022 midterms, pouring tens of millions into dark money groups with customers’ funds.Some of these groups were linked to Senate leaders including Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer.

You can’t charge someone with bribery unless you charge the recipients for accepting the bribes and how many of us think that that is going to happen.

Coincidentally, they will not have to offer evidence that his bribery attempts succeeded, and who the powerful Democrat Party Politicians are that accepted his bribes, excuse me, Campaign Donations.
Awful damned convenient for those politicians, isn’t it? And for the News Media that is studiously ignoring this part of the SBF Cryptocurrency Scam?
In a few months, they can permanently close these untried criminal cases out, when Samuel Bankman Fried, just like Epstein, doesn’t kill himself in Federal Prison Custody.

As someone much smarter than I offered, you have to be able to identify the scams so that you can get in early. I don’t think SBF thought much about what he was doing beyond the scam blowing up. But certainly the politicians are already on to the next one. Maybe it’s AI.
This is a excellent example of how Washington DC works. We see the end result of behind closed doors negotiation here. Not known is what was ceded to the DOJ by McConnell.
Situations like THIS are exactly why McConnell won’t retire. He needs to be in a position to protect himself using his negotiating power as minority leader in the Senate. If he retires, he loses a good portion of that.
The public never knows the details. It could be in return for something already done. It could be for something yet to occur. It could be to look the other way on election shenanigans. It could be to throw support to the DOJ on questionable activities and targeting.
While some would say that McConnell is a moderate elitist who despises nationalism and rules accordingly, I’d simply say he is a criminal who insulates himself from retribution by “paying off” the only entity that could upset his apple cart.
