Your morning science: Study shows sex could be a better predictor of sports performance than gender identity
Dr John Armstrong, King’s, Dr Alice Sullivan, University College London and George M Perry, an independent researcher from the USA, conducted a study analysing data on the performance of people who competed in the non-binary category of 21 races in the New York Road Runners database.
Outside of purely biological outcomes and criminology, little empirical work has been done to test the theory that gender identity is more important than biological sex as a cause of gender disparities in outcomes. The data set of 166 race times achieved by non-binary athletes within a data set of 85,173 race times was selected as it was the largest available consistently formatted data on non-binary athletes.
Since the race results do not provide the sex of non-binary athletes, the sex of non-binary athletes was either derived from previous races they had run, or where this wasn’t available, the researchers used a novel technique to model the sex of athletes probabilistically based on their given names, using US Social Security Administration data. Race times were used as the outcome variable in linear models with explanatory variables derived from biological sex, gender identity, age and the event being raced.

– there is no such thing as natural immunity
– cloth masks can protect you from a virus and viral transmission can be avoided by sitting down in a restaurant.
– taxes can change the climate
– maximum leniency for crimes
– It’s okay to medically mutilate children
– promoting MAID to those with treatable medical and mental distress
– handing out narcotics like Halloween candy

Here are two anecdotes that could get into the Jornal of Blindingly Obvious:
1. About a year or two ago, an animal behavioral researcher tested 100 dogs, whereby after two hours rest, she brought out a halter and a lead to each of them. Some 97 of the 100 dogs jumped up with their tails wagging, with the expectation that they were going for a walk. The academic then undertook statistical tests to deduce that the halters and leads were a signal to the dogs that they were going for a walk. The academic got this result published in a peer-reviewed journal.
2. As a university professor I did “internal/external” readings of masters and PhD theses in other faculties at my university — were I would read a thesis for errors, and served on the thesis board during the thesis defence. I read one masters thesis from a student in the Faculty of Physical Education, whereby the study was on fatty elementary-school kids measuring weight changes from one year to the next. (The thesis supervisor was the leading fatty-kid scholar in Canada, and he had come to New Brunswick to do his research. New Brunswick has the fattiest people in Canada, so the province offered good test subjects). Anyways, the student presented a table of summary data describing each variable used. One variable was “student height” — whereby the table showed that student height increased, on average, from one year to the next. So the student wrote a number of sentences in the text saying that young kids grow taller from one year to the next, using uber-technical language to make this point. My only contribution in the thesis defense was to suggest that the excess language was not necessary.

Except the majority of these destructive policies are been created by rich men. See the leaders at Davos, WEF, Bilderberg Club, presidents and prime ministers, bankers, social media founders and CEOs, media tycoons. Women tend to be militant followers and promoters of trends, not the creators. Just like cult founders are dominated by men.
I should have added that men have also created most of the most beneficial advancements. This echoes results from IQ tests where men tend to occupy both extremes of the distribution curve – the most geniuses and the most idiots. Women’s IQs tend to cluster near the center of the curve.

Yes, the “follow the science” crowd instantly flips to “science is racist or science is sexist” when they disagree with the conclusion. Science needs to be viewed with a critical eye because research and data processing can be gamed. Observation, robust debate, cynicism and critical thinking are the way to go, imo.

When crazy people subscibe to the idea that a man can become a woman and make it a crime to say otherwise and celebrate biological males that compete against women… Somebody has to step up an do a study to show the obvious. Because of course, if you object to a man competing against a woman on the basis that it is unfair biologically, somebody will say there are no studies that show this. You know, because we are not all doctors so we need studies to back everything up.
