Chow can spend money she doesn’t have, but I have yet to see an estimate for how much money that citizens and businesses don’t have to waste on redoing their addresses and letterhead and paperwork. For example every driver’s licence with a Dundas street address will have to be changed by law within 30 days. Who will pay for that?

After 30 days, the Toronto police can get a list of all driver’s licences, and car registrations which have ‘incorrect’ addresses (e.g. Dundas Street), and then pay a visit to your house or car.
If your car is parked on the street, they can tow it, and you’ll have to pay to get it out. City of Calgary used to do this when the Province stopped sending out car registration expiry notices. Buddy of mine got nailed this way. Three days into a new month he parked his car on the street. Next morning it was gone. He said he talked to the folks at the impound lot, who said they were doing a booming business. Apparently the parking authority and tow truck drivers hit the areas nearest the impound lot. That way they’d get a lot more cars during the night, than if they hit the far suburbs.
If you drive your car without a valid licence, you can also get a ticket.
Chow’s method of revenue collection?
Correct me if I am wrong, but was Dundas Street where a certain Smilin’ Jack was found in a Rub ‘n Tug facility?
I do remember that whatever the street was, it was the subject of numerous ribals internet jests for quite a while.
If the location of the infamous incident was Dundas St, that might explain why (of all the streets in Toronto) Ms Chow wants to erase the name of that one.
