CBC- Kenneth Law charged with 14 counts of 2nd-degree murder in multiple Ontario deaths
A charge sheet from the Ontario Court of Justice in Newmarket shows Law was charged Monday with 14 counts of second-degree murder, in addition to the 14 counts of counselling or aiding suicide that he was already facing.

So murder is murder, and suicide is murder, but MAiD is a “medical procedure”?
Would Mr. Law still be under arrest if he was an MD?
In truth I’m enraged by the length of time it took them to arrest this ghoul. We’ve know about him for quite some time, it isn’t like they didn’t know what he was doing.
Why are you enraged by this but accept that the government can kill you and call it medical treatment? All he is doing is letting people cut out the middleman and kill themselves without the aid of a doctor. I’d rather kill myself than let a doctor do it. I’m surprised the government charged him. Now they’re going to have to publicly explain why what they do is OK and what this guy does isn’t.

As to Mr. Law, it has been known by the authorities what he was doing for a long time. More than long enough to have trimmed his body count by a few if they’d arrested him earlier.

If I decided life was too much to take for whatever reason, I’d rather die at my own hand than with the help of a government doctor. Recently a lady from where I live committed MAiD. She had cancer and decided she didn’t want to live anymore, although I don’t believe she was in any pain. A doctor and a nurse came out from the big city, a 300 km one way trip, to do the service in her apartment. I just find that so ghoulish. Oh we’re going on a trip to a hick town to kill someone today. Where shall we stop for lunch?
Right? And not to put too fine a point on it, licensed medical doctor and licensed nurse, happy to do the job. Imagine being their alive patients, finding out they’re getting their pills from Dr. Murder, and Nurse Accomplice. Creepy AF.
