  1. Without the ability to comment at True North, I pass by anything they have to say. Not being able to comment is true censorship.

  2. Ottawa is a place where speech isn’t free.
The federal government wields its power like a hammer and only the brave or the retarded risk their business model.
There aren’t many brave here, including myself, and while I might be slightly retarded, I don’t have a business that could be risked when the PM stands up and shits on it, or protestors arrive outside, or phone calls are made to power brokers.
I think Dinardo might have something to do with Ottawa Business Journal and every Ottawa business looks to the feds for gravy.
Censorship is growing like a weed here.

  3. Some opportunity for pushback:

The Christine Anderson/Eva Vlaardingerbroek event was simply moved to another venue, and went ahead at the planned time.

Kudos to the Preston Event Centre, in Ottawa’s Little Italy, who agreed to host the event at very short notice. They deserve a shout out, thanking them for standing up to the usual suspects who rang their phone off the hook, trying to get them to cancel as well. Wonderful people. They would probably welcome any business, too.

Apparently one of the usual suspects was this local city councillor, who inherited the ward from the appalling Catherine McKenney (not-Climate-Barbie):

The outright stupidity is mind-blowing. You check out her page and you realise that the most of the people she thinks she’s standing-up for with this “anti-hate” rubbish want to push her off a high building. She may be Jewish as well, which only adds to the absurdity.

Has she thought this bollox through?

    Why not ask her?

Btw, the speakers hardly mentioned Islam.
