When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Hot Air;

FBI leaders ordered the new head of Miami’s field office Jeffrey Veltri to scrub anti-Trump comments from his social media accounts, according to a new whistleblower account.

The whistleblower disclosure to the House Judiciary Committee, obtained by The Washington Times, said FBI Director Christopher Wray, Deputy Director Paul Abbate, and Executive Assistant Director Jennifer Moore ordered Veltri to scrub his “adamantly and vocally anti-Trump” remarks from his social media accounts in order to get a promotion.

“The home of President Donald Trump is located in the area of responsibility of the Miami Field Office,” the disclosure obtained by the Times read. “It was well known that Veltri was adamantly and vocally Anti-Trump.

  1. In other words, “We’ve decided to promote you because of your blatant anti-Trump bias. But get rid of the evidence now because with your new status you’ll have to give the appearance of being politically neutral.”

    1. It seems that blatant Trump HATE (they really hate US … not Trump … because we all smell like Walmart or something) … wins promotions in our broken government bureaucracies

  2. Yeah, right…and next you’re going to try to tell me that the FBI has been weaponized against the Democrats opponents. /s

  3. It’s probably the reason why he got the promotion – a rabid dog anti Trumper to help oversee the politically motivated Mar a Lago raid. The FBI is now so thoroughly corrupt and weaponized it’s beyond redemption. It should be completely defunded/dismantled but House Republicans just approved $300 million for a new headquarters, despite the clear pattern of evidence of the agency targeting Republicans, especially MAGA supporters.

  4. Just to be clear, Christopher Wray got indignant when sitting before Congress and being accused of fostering a politically partisan FBI. Were he serious about that, Veltri would have been immediately disqualified from holding a position of influence and power within the organization. Instead, he remained in his prestigious position for a period before being promoted to run one of the biggest and most high profile offices in the entire organization.

    The take away is that they know (without question) that they are untouchable and will remain so. The only surprising thing here is that Wray encouraged Veltri to take down his comments. BTW, Veltri (before entering the FBI) ran for and lost in an election as a democrat.
