Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I suppose it beats the heck out of tent camping in cold weather. I saw a Subaru that had a similar conversion, and it had more features (better kitchen and bed).
This fellow seems to enjoy his l’il camper. Very, very creative and it works for him.
Great, have your built-in 3
day gasoline battery supplied generator camping survival kit.
Guy must be five feet tall.
A quick search gives 65″ as the maximum length from back hatch to passenger seat with headrest removed and slid/ tilted all the way forward.
This was actually really interesting, with nice solutions using some gadgets I need to research. Essentially, it’s a bug-out car! Won’t work for my family of five, so I have a bigger camper…
Pragmatist.
Interestingly, the Prius demonstrates one of the very highest levels of consumer loyalty. The typical Prius owner drives it for 15 years.
Do the Prius owners have to replace the battery, and how often?
Older Prius batteries seem to last 15 to 20 years. They contain 28 cells that are individually replaceable. You can buy a rebuilt battery with a limited warranty for about $1000, A brand new battery installed from Toyota is over $3000 – which is the blue book value for a 20 year old Prius. And no, the car won’t run without a functioning hybrid battery.
Full discloser: I do also own a 2008 Prius. We did have a dead cell (while under warranty). But the thing still runs pretty well with fuel consumption just slightly higher than 15 years ago. But it may just be my daughters lead foot.
How does that saying go, “you can have my camper when you Prius from my cold dead hands…”?
