    1. Ryan already fenced-in (walled-off) his own property for increased safety and security. So … Paul’s done.

    2. IIRC it was mentioned that they sold around $300 mil worth of material for around $3 mil. No mention of who bought it.

      With this sudden upsurge in demand that material would have the attraction of ready availability.

      What price would you suggest that a really public spirited Democrat leaning new owner offer to sell it back for?

    And to be honest, Trump didn’t fix it either. And after he failed to “get the lead out” and fix it in the first two years, when he had Congress and Senate in his back pocket, it became apparent he was never going to.

    1. Problem is, he never really had congress and the senate “in his back pocket”. Especially now in light of the outrageous amounts approved to Ukraine and Republicans supporting the Dems on multi trillion deficits when, at the time, $10b couldn’t be allotted to maintain the sovereignty of the country, arguably the highest priority of any federal government.

      The best that could be said of the “help” Trump received from his own party was that Mitch helped confirm various judicial appointments.

          Saying he was bedevilled and stopped from accomplishing his great works because the evil, corrupt Deep State stopped him, is no more valid than Biden blaming all his failures on Trump, or Obama blaming all his failures on Dubya, or Dubya blaming all his failures on Slick Willy…… It’s only gone on forever, and I also note with deep condemnation that Trump didn’t clean-up Obamacare during those two years either, like he said he was going to – I don’t even remember him trying.

And Trump was who the voters elected to do the work, so the failures of the Trump presidency rest on Trump’s head. As they should.

    Basically, Biden’s Whitehouse is panicking because the Democrat Big Blue City Mayors and Governors are really upset because their own constituents are seriously angry, and their own jobs are threatened. Just ask Adams and Hochul, or Brandon Johnson and Pritzker; the four most powerful and vocal Democrats.

    If the Democrat Mayors and Governors in the Big Blue Cities and states are complaining that much publicly? Why wouldn’t they be telling their own Democrat Senators that impeachmentof Biden now might save all their jobs in 2024.

    1. Yeah some Dems are upset, but don’t misconstrue it for acknowledging a mistake in policy. The communists are all-in now on Barry’s “transformation” of America. Norms, conventions, respect for equal application of the law, and the constitution have all been thrown out the window. Future elections, if they occur, will be performative but predetermined. For them, there’s no backtracking anymore – they’ve cast a die and are seeing it through, a comprehensive restructuring of every tenet and principle of the country that made it formerly great. All with purposeful intent. They cannot afford to lose power now that their means have set an ugly precedent, because the other side might produce someone (I wish) that will make Trump look like a pussycat. Think Allende to Pinochet in Chile. That’s what happens when the pendulum swings too far in one direction.

But it wasn’t until TX started shipping the Refugees to Blue Sanctuary cities that Biden changed direction.
