  1. Ah, the amalfi coast. Had to stop well before a “corner” to let an approaching bus go by. The bus driver had inches clearance to us. Glad we were on a moto, squeezed against the rock cut. A real pro.

    1. We drove over the mountains directly to Maiori and stayed there, rather than driving the coast road. We took a ferry up to Amalfi, which was packed with cruise ship tourists, even in October. Maiori was uncrowded. We drove down to Paestum to see the Greek ruins.

We didn’t have a guide at Pompeii and found we should have hired one. We had a rental car and had a couple of incidents of needing to back up for oncoming buses. We avoided Naples and tried to get to Capri, but the boat was cancelled due to weather. I have heard good things about Capri, Ischia and Sorrento. We will go back.

Still not sure I want to go to Naples. My brother said there were hookers at the roadside beside burning trash barrels when he was there. We did see women strolling along the highway and a lot of garbage strewn around near Naples, but not garbage and hookers together. That may just have been because it wasn’t cold yet.

    1. ““Energy certificate legislation originated in EU laws.”

The European Union, the gift that just keeps on giving.

    2. “https://wattsupwiththat.com/2023/09/03/property-owners-who-dont-comply-with-new-energy-rules-may-face-prison/”

Interesting link, but nowhere do they even bother to state what these new rules might be. Comply with what, exactly? Are they planning on forcing building owners to upgrade their insulation or lighting or water heaters?

    1. Reader “tips” isn’t supposed to be an acronym for “tedious infantile propaganda shit” except in your case.

      1. That didn’t take long. I was wondering which cretin will be the first to jump in and make this parallel. You’re predictably pathetic.

        1. LOL – Coming from the Azov battalions personal SDA gatekeeper on any mention of the word “Ukraine” by anyone commenting here, I’ll definitely take that as a complement.

To bad your your silly post about nice culturally enriched Nazi’s laughably falls flat on it face.

          1. “Gatekeeper”? No, I am their unabashed fan. Azovs are among my favorite Ukrainian units, they fought like lions and used orc carcasses for sandbags. What’s not to like? Quite recently I have listened to an interview with a Polish Ukrainian sniper who fought with Azov in Mariupol, was severally wounded, almost lost both legs, surrendered and then survived the brutality of orc capture and eventually got swapped in prisoner exchange. An incredibly moving story told by a humble hero.

          1. Yeah, I am calling bullshit on this unless you can provide a verification from anywhere near reliable.

        1. “This is not a forum to share your homosexual fantasies.”

It’s not a forum for you to constantly hijack with your infantile hatred of Russians and your blood lusting fantasies about war and death, either. Yet here you are again, as predictable as sunrise.

          1. It is “Reader Tips” Dumb-dumb, providing tips about orc bestial nature fits the description. You consistently running interference for the genocidal horde does not.

  2. Sic transit gloria mundi: a former Ruϟϟischeschweinen media and public darling general Surovikin is now an unperson.
The link to his page on their MoD site is now dead: https://structure.mil.ru/management/combatant_arms/more.htm?id=11854308@SD_Employee (compare the current page with the Google cache).

Probably, his main guilt was a close association with late Prigozhin (even though no proof exists Surovikin ever had anything to do with the former’s rebellion).

      1. Sure, he “reappeared” to say he was OK (unlike Prigozhin). You won’t be seeing (or hearing) much of him from now on.

  3. Rumour has it, that Blackie will attend the public flogging of an infidel woman in Indonesia today.

  4. There Is Talk in Russia About Hitting Targets in the U.S. Because Nuclear War Has Become “Inevitable”
Most Americans have absolutely no idea how close we are to nuclear war.

Nuclear war is the ‘inevitable’ conclusion of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, a Russian general who wrote the nation’s ‘war bible’ has warned.
Why didn’t this make headline news all over the United States?
That is why so many of us have been advocating for a peaceful solution in Ukraine.
The Ukrainians are running out of warm bodies. At some point they are going to get very desperate. And as I always say, desperate people do desperate things.
At the same time, war with China just keeps getting closer and closer.

    1. When the “nuclear war” fear-mongering is being pushed on, you know that Russia has a problem on the battlefield.

      1. “When the “nuclear war” fear-mongering is being pushed on….”

Didn’t the US nuke 2 cities to “save American lives, and shorten the war”?

      2. You really think that Putin is such a lover of his own people or anyone else, that he would not use nuclear weapons to try and save his own skin?

          1. “I just don’t see how using nuclear weapons would save his skin.”

But I thought Russians were “dumb unthinking Orcs” or something akin, so why would they think the way you see things?

The US had no issues nuking an enemy combatant when they thought it an advantage, so unless you can determine the Russian mindset and the list of potential advantages or threat mitigation in their minds, you are pushing towards a nuclear confrontation based on your own bias and gut feelings. Sloppy thinking at best.

          2. Thinking that being pushed out of Ukraine endangers old Poo more than starting a nuclear war is much worse than sloppy.

          3. “Thinking that being pushed out of Ukraine ”

Who exactly will be pushing the Russians out of Ukraine? Certainly not the Ukrainians..their lack of success with the Great Counteroffensive proves that beyond any doubt.

So, NATO troops on the ground in combat against the Russians…yes or no?

  5. You really think that Putin is such a lover of his own people or anyone else, that he would not use nuclear weapons to try and save his own skin?
