  1. Memo to white liberals, AWFLs and political consultants: a great many immigrants are not all that enthusiastic about more immigrants

  2. The cure for Canada’s housing crisis? Boost immigration
    […]
There are growing calls to constrict immigration until the housing crisis is “resolved” – imprecise though that is. We would be wise to recall what Sifton knew. Immigrants are not the cause of Canada’s failings. Actually, they’re a big part of the answer.
Immigrants don’t simply occupy existing housing. Fact is, they built most of our current housing stock and could build even more. Each worker occupies one home (less, if they share) and builds dozens more for everyone else – an irrefutable net gain […]

    1. Immigrants are not the cause of Canada’s failings.

Correct. F’ing politicians, largely (spit) Progs & Commies, & their shitty policies (not limited to, but including, unfettered immigration) are the cause of Canaduh’s failings. Excess & low quality immigrants & illegal aliens are merely the effect.

    2. Is he falling for the fallacy that immigrants are like widgets, and interchangeable?

Does he think that the middle class craftsmen that immigrated to canada in the 1930s are the same as the those arriving now?

how many houses are immigrant “doctors” who work as taxi drivers building dozens of houses with their own hands?

  3. 63% believe excessive immigration has a negative effect on housing prices? Did 74% believe that the sky is blue, or that babies are cute, and that cancer is a bad thing?

    1. Is it a “negative effect on housing prices” when something causes demand to exceed supply so much and so quickly that significant numbers of people have no realistic hope of buying their home?

  4. If Brooklyn NY is any indication, you need only expose the remaining 37% to personal experience with immigration and the figure would be 100%.

  5. L – Is pricing housing out of the reach of most Canadians, a part of Lib/C.P.C./NDP
policy and another nail in the coffin of “you’ll own nothing and be happy?
Or will one of them promise to restrict immigration to those who can benefit
the country? (wager is none will)

Most Canadians can’t afford to buy a home and 24% don’t have a family doctor.
So, is mass migration’s goal to keep going until that become the majority, too?

“Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government won’t lower its immigration targets
despite growing criticism that drastic population growth worsens existing housing shortages.”

  6. Never mind the immigration questions. Ask them if they’d let their kid have a paper route.

  7. Government at all levels (generally supported by most urban residents who own their homes) have baked-in the certainty of slow and increasingly expensive increases in the supply of new housing, particularly where most immigrants tend to go. Add to this the regime’s antagonism to the resource sectors where housing isn’t the problem it is in large cities. Given that the Spawn-Fuhrer / Singh regime are hell-bent on high levels of human importation (as opposed to traditional immigration where they were on their own and not part of a taxpayer funded welfare program from the get go), I can only surmise that this is the beginning of the next “engineered crisis” (third, after climate and covid) to be used to justify the next wave of hysteria-driven totalitarianism and state intervention sold as salvation to the voting mindless. As proof, nothing this government champions is beneficial to the economy.

  8. I noticed in the story that they were talking about “working age” immigrants.
If that’s what it’s all about why in God’s name are we every year importing by the tens of thousands, 50-year-olds, 60-year-olds, 70-year-olds and even 80 year olds as immigrants? What possible benefit to Canada could somebody be over the age of 50 without some desperately needed skill.
We all saw the pictures last week of the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people lined up for a few cashiers jobs at a supermarket in Etobicoke.

    1. “What possible benefit to Canada could somebody be over the age of 50 without some desperately needed skill.”

Think of all the extra government funding needed for the “free health care” they will shriek…..then someone other than just the hip replacement recipients benefit “big time” to be sure.

      1. That is OK in canada. They just bump a fifth or sixth generation white canadian out of their spot on the many lists in this backward country.

  9. Don’t they weave really nice rugs and make caravan tents out of them? If that’s how they live in the Gobi … then why not Canada too!? Wool repels water and snow, doesn’t it?

  10. I am an immigrant, been here 45 years.

My mother always taught me to close the door behind me.

  11. Politicians of all stripes have a personal vested interest in increasing housing costs, as they are heavily invested in all forms of residential and commercial real-estate. Including personal residences in high net worth neighbourhoods.

Factor in the mass acquisitions of “default homes” by the mega conglomerates like Blackrock, donor friends of the political class, and “YOU will own nothing, and be happy”.

  12. How long before commies figure out the reason they’re not getting their hip replaced this year? Haha.

We get the government we deserve. Good and hard!

  13. The only reason we allow so much immigration is to keep wages down for rich employers. Close to 20 years ago when my daughter was 14 every restaurant we went in to asked her if she wanted a job. Now our town has hundreds of Filipinos that work in all the restaurants. If restaurants want workers maybe they simply have to pay $25 per hour. Sounds like a “their” problem. Minimum wage workers demand lots of services and pay little taxes. Those jobs are detrimental to society.

  14. LoLs.. Toronto and the GTA is gridlocked.. Packed to the rafters.. Even brown people don’t want more brown people.. Funny how that works eh..

Bottom line.. Huge Canada has a tiny like place in southern Ontario where 60% of Canadians live.. Its Camped with business, industry and leftists.. ???.. Their answer is ban cars and sort your garbage?.. Its not going to work..

  15. Hate to say it, but I wonder if politicians will start getting the message when the frozen corpses of homeless immigrants start showing up on the streets. If that happens anyone supporting this criminal negligence should be charged with manslaughter at the very least!

  16. the migrants are being brought in to replace us…… that’s the point of so many…… that’s whats going on in europe/england/scandinavia …… duh!
