I moved to Brampton in 1987 – population 60,000.
Left in 2000 – population 600,000.

The best is when they sell out in Brampton, buy a clapped out Eurocar, and move 50 miles north to be surrounded by white folks who moved up there to “get away from it all”…drive like morons down the commuter corridor and then wonder why most white folks are so unfriendly.

If they had skills which were useful to Canada, like for example they were electricians or skilled carpenters, apparently they’d be working in those fields as they pay 2x of what they’ll earn shuffling supermarket items around.
It takes at least 4 years of trade school to be qualified for those construction jobs, and the skills they “may have” from wherever they’re from are not going to be transferable to the Canadian house building reality.
Don’t even get me started on plumbing / gas fitting …
They may be useful to the #Libranos or NDP now, but it is those criminal’s carbon tax which will drive the “new Canadians” to despair when they see they’ve got enough money at the end of the month for exactly 1 cup of coffee.

For the record… if a Canadian has been working for the past 8 years (for example) as an “undocumented worker” in say, plumbing, and they decide to start with a company doing this sort of work, they start as an apprentice at the bottom of the scale, and need to document the 9600 hours working with a journeyman and 4 years of school (8 weeks each year), passing the requisite exams at 70%
At least the exams are done by machine and don’t care what your background or skin color is.
I doubt there’s a way for the federal gov’t to mess with this system, education is still a provincial jurisdiction in Canada while the Red Seal program is administered by the federal gov’t, yet they need be provincially approved as actual journeymen as well.
I have no idea who’s going to build the houses for these 500k new Canadians while actual journeymen are retiring at record rates.
I guess anyone can “build the houses” … but the inhabitants will want these houses to be heated, have water brought to them, with some sort of electrical program in their houses too. There’s no way around this, yet.

book the all importatn appointment when the truck shows up tell them to call head office, and give you a moment to rebook. last minute change.
then rebook the appointment and as the truck pulls out make it clear this will be the response to all future nagging about air ducts that were already cleaned once all the drywall work was fini.
l only had to do it once. they still call but l make sure and waste lots and lots of their time and point out at the end of the conversation that too is a default response.
