    After all she vocally opposed investigations of Chinese government interference in Canadian elections as racist.

  4. I watched yesterday after 8pm on Global how Toronto election unfolded, and 2 weird things happened:

    – Bailao was steady +2-3% ahead of Chow until 89-90% votes counted; all of the sudden Chow ahead 2% and it stayed like that till the end.
    – Bailao conceded immediately and she was happy that she lost + grovelling to Chow in her speech.

    Probably even the software engine to count the votes is TikTok/made in China.

    1. Another “weird” thing is that one of the schools “accidentally” played an announcement for Chow during voting times at a polling location…

  12. The last Canadian show I watched was The Beach Combers with a smattering of Corner Gas. For the most part Canadian television has been unwatchable for decades.

    2. Funny how Corner Gas, in its depiction of small-town Saskatchewan, managed to leave out the addiction, domestic violence, more FAS kids than one can count, and mental health issues.

      1. Well, in fairness, there’s limits to how much addiction, domestic violence, and retards you want to see in an all-ages TV comedy, and I thought there were mental health issues galore in that show. That was part of the fun.

  14. Brand new vote counting machine I’ve never seen before yesterday when I voted.
    I asked if the machine reading my vote was a Dominion Voting Machine as one of the helpful chicks fed it into a slot and got a confused look so I followed with,” you know the one that fixed the US election” and got an incoherent mumble for a response.
    Walked by the still-being-renovated-ex-Dominion Voting Machine head office on the way home.
    When people tell you “they can’t cheat because votes are hand counted in Canada, call them “Liars”.

      1. I saw the new machine too. Strange having to input a 2 ft long ballot. How did 102 candidates get on the list?
