50 Replies to “Guilbeault counters Moe, yet never says anything about keeping the lights on”

  1. Guilbeault has no concept of the truth. The guy is a mental case. Any provincial government that gives up food and energy security for idiotic nonsense like “climate change” deserve to be hung up in the public square a la Mussolini.

  2. Guilbeault’s job is to implement the pieties of death cult environmental hysteria, not to speak the truth on energy. As long as his Quebec Eloi keep him in power, he would be happy if western Canadians froze in the dark.

  3. Liberals and liars,
    Two peas in a pod,
    Climate Scam and inflation,
    Just more of their fraud,
Believe them at your own risk,
    And pray to your God,
    Cause Liberals in Canada,
    Will steal your wad.

  4. Hans Gruber wants us all to live like 13th century peasants. He/She should stick to climbing the CN Tower.

  5. “Guilbeault has no concept of the truth. The guy is a mental case.”

Exactly right! Premier Moe’s best course of action would be to completely ignore the idiot and his mindless comments. Engaging in a pissing contest with the lunatic Guilbeault is a mug’s game which the media would seize upon to portray Moe and Saskatchewanians in general as divisive neanderthals bent on starting a fight with Ottawa.

    1. The Saskatchewan government owns electricity generation and the transportation/distribution of electricity and natural gas. Plus the province contains abundant supplies of natural gas, petroleum/petroleum refineries, coal and uranium. The province owns and operates the big hydro facilities and cogeneration plants. Saskatchewan is quite self sufficient in energy supplies and the power to control its development, generation and distribution.

So, in addition to ignoring the federal government’s insane clean energy plan, I wonder if the province could order saskpower and saskenergy to stop collecting the federal carbon tax or, at least, remit the carbon tax to the province. Why send the money plus gst to Ottawa. Tax revolts have been effective in Saskatchewan before (rural taxpayers remitted taxes to the RMs, who then withheld the taxes from the Saskatchewan NDP government)

    2. Will the demonstrably incoherent and unworkable changes demanded by the federal climate ideologues be the unravelling of Canada? If enough provinces have premiers with sufficient testicular mass that tell Ottawa to get stuffed and Ottawa retaliates with reduced funding for those provinces, and provinces respond by keeping tax normally forwarded to the feds… Moe appears to one, Danielle Smith another, Ford thinks the Turd is his BFF so little hope for Ontario.

These issues are only solved when pushed to a crisis.

  6. It’s pointless debating with the hirsute watermelon.
    He’s a nutty cultist.
Pull a Nero, dip him in pitch and use him as a patio lantern.

    1. I thought the Mussolini treatment would be good, but I do prefer your solution

  7. The problem with our political system is that politicians do not bear the full consequences of misguided policies. They can forge ahead with ideologically driven agendas and then retire on their gold-plated pensions, leaving the rest of us to pay the price and clean up the mess.

But beyond that lies this question: Why do we vote them in?

    1. you are incorrect, politicians do not face any consequences for their misguided policies or in the case of certain politicians, they pay a tiny price for their corrupt policies, but never lose out on their pay and pensions

    2. Quite correct, KM. That’s why the exceptions to the rule are so memorable. Very few politicians have ever been fully held to account for their sins in office. That’s why we remember Saddam Hussein, Nicolae Ceaucescu and his abominable wife, Muammar Ghaddafi, and most of the Nazi war criminals hanged after Nuremburg and the grim reaper to whom they were introduced.

    3. I think this also applies to federal servants. What are the consequence of incompetence? Very little if any at all. At least with elected officials there is a vote.. small comfort if any.

Too many projects run way over budget, wasteful spending, programs that go nowhere.. fed servants are supposed to sign something that acknowledges they are stewards of tax payers money and should be ethically minded with that… Yet… Failure is acceptable. And without any consequence however small

    4. Killer
      You described the “church” perfectly.
“But beyond that lies this question: Why do we vote them in?”
So why do people keep going to and supporting the religious LIE?

      1. As if a political conversation like this isn’t contentious enough you have to bring up religion? Is this your pathetic attempt to divert the conversation away from how corrupt our politicians and civil servants are? It might be a better use of your time if you tell your Liberal paymasters that they not only screwed up bigtime when they anointed Justin, they might have sealed their fate in the next election because the China story has legs.

        1. On every SDA comment section, regardless of the topic:

          GYM – “Christian – RHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”.

        2. Environmentalism is a religion though. It is the worship of the earth itself. It is indistinguishable from Animism.

    1. Exactly what I said to my wife. Her comment was, “Yes, you know he’s hateful.”

  8. Put Ottawa on 100% renewable energy – wind and solar. Then we watch and see. At least 12 full months. No southern holidays for our politicians.

  9. An Ideological Fascist. He would be perfectly content with the deaths of millions of heathens that don’t worship at the Watermelon Altar

  10. Guilbeault’s response is basically “Look at how much money the federal government is throwing at it!”

    1. That’s the metric by which governments measure themselves…..how much money they can piss away on something….never on the actual results….only by what taxpayer money they throw into their ideological volcano.

      1. Same in the bureaucracy, their metrics of success are not results, but headcount and budget size. Positive results mean the funding ends.

  11. Liars go to hell. And that’s where the honourable minister for fraud, money laundering and gross malfeasance is going.

  12. If we would all go Amish and use horse-and-buggy, Guilbeault would STILL tax us for methane emissions.

  13. You have to admire how the Chinese play these fools in the West, they fake their oil consumption numbers, oil drops in price, they order a 125 super tankers of oil totally 250 million barrels. The clowns with the MBAs are running the circus.

    1. ” The clowns with the MBAs are running the circus.”
Did, ja just figure that one out?????

  14. Perhaps it’s time for a referendum to begin negotiations on separation?

    1. Old and tired. No one will take you seriously as long as Ottawa controls your provincial police forces. You try to negotiate from a position of strength, not weakness.

      1. cgh, it’s coming. Baby steps.

First we win the election. Without that, we can do nothing.

  15. The letter is false slanderous and defamatory and was not a statement protected from legal action because made in Parliament. He called Premier Moe a liar, openly and without parliamentary protection.

Will Moe sue? If not why not? It would give Moe an opportunity to examine Guillbeault under oath and even if Moe lost he would grind up that silly commie liar. And he will lose because most of our judges are liberals appointed by Liberal governments.
