  2. I think this will adversely affect retention more than bring in new “talent”.

    Also, with the way current gov’t is treating these folks, I think they’re far too precious to be thrown into combat.
    People are arrested here for laughing at them, how do they fare in combat?

    Most military organizations have been running increasingly understrength for years. The last sentence in the linked article indicates some of the reasons. Guess from which end of the political spectrum most recruits come from?
