Canada is ‘elbows deep’ in helping Haiti, Trudeau says…

February 16th:

The Canadian leader said his government’s focus is to intervene in an “atrocious situation” by strengthening the Haitian National Police. “What’s happening in Haiti is absolutely heartbreaking — and we need to do everything we can that will help.”

March 24th…

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Friday an additional $100 million in support for the police forces in Haiti amid ongoing gang-related violence.

April 24th.

Just yesterday videos appeared showing Haitian police beating and stoning gang members before piling tyres on top of them and setting them on fire.

  1. So Haiti needs more corrupt police. Is Trudeau giving them ideas as well as money. I wonder will the RCMP go there for lessons?

  2. Winnie Mandela used to have her goons ‘necklace’ her political opponents the same way when Nelson was in jail. Some jewellery never goes out of fashion.

    1. Mark Steyn has pointed out that Haiti and the DR are the same people and have the same precolonial history. While the DR is no bastion of economic rectitude, it was colonized by the British and Haiti the French. The DR is a functional state with a tourist economy; Haiti is…Haiti.

  3. The RCMP, as we have seen, already know how to treat some people with kid gloves and others with a measure of roughing up, depending on their race, class, gender, and political orientation. I would not want them taking lessons from the Haitian police (or giving them any, for that matter). While one might muse about serial felons and gang-bangers being given the “necklace” that Winnie Mandela once championed, it is far more likely that this tactic would be applied to people like those in the Trucker Convoy or pro-life protesters than to the warlords of north Toronto.

  4. As long as there is foreign money flooding into Haiti, there is zero likelihood that Haiti can be “fixed”

    1. Perzackly, JD. If countries really wanted to fix Haiti, zero money should be sent there. That holds true for all of the 3rd World money pits that never get fixed.

But, hey! Go ahead and send multi-millions, and don’t forget to enclose a reminder to send 10% to the Big Guy or Gal as a token of appreciation for the donor country’s generosity.

      1. Not sending them money isn’t going to fix Haiti any more than sending them money is. The Haitians do not know how to run a functional state. The only way to fix Haiti, or any third-world shithole, is for a first world nation with civilizational confidence and a Protestant work ethic to colonize it and impose those values on them, by force if necessary. The British Empire used to be good at this.

        1. First , explain to me of what value is Haiti to Canada in any shape or form ?
          It’s a f@@king shitehole.
No need to reply, it’s a rhetorical question.

  5. You can rely on the Trudeau government sending enormous amounts of money to exactly the wrong people at precisely the wrong time. They consistently do the equivalent of sending care packages to the Nazis, and foreign aid to Idi Amin.

In some places, like Haiti, there is no clear path to foreign intervention that will actually help anyone at all, which is why it doesn’t surprise me that they have been pouring money into the place.

    1. “You can rely on the Trudeau government sending enormous amounts of money to exactly the wrong people at precisely the wrong time. They consistently do the equivalent of sending care packages to the Nazis, and foreign aid to Idi Amin.”- of course they do, as long as the recipients do not forget the primary rule- 10% for little potatoe

  6. There have been requests for Canadian police / military presence in Haiti.

If Trudeau is stupid enough to let that happen , I await news from the CBC etc. showing Canadian “Peacekeepers” gunning down “mostly peaceful” Haitian criminals which is certain to happen.

    1. Rather, I wait to see the said peacekeepers (as woefully under-armed they will be) being gunned down, their bodies dragged through the streets and Justin moralising and blaming it all on anyone but him.

    2. How about sending all of the “police” forces that were stomping on Native elders and kneeing people in the chest at the protests?

Give them a BB gun and a can of compressed air and lock the door behind them!

Better yet, send those 2 female Calgary police officers that arrested the kid for skating on the outdoor pond, dress them in bikinis and send them for a nice walking tour of downtown Cap Haitien!!

  7. Haiti is proof that even Spanish origins of governance is preferable to the French as the Dominican Republic next door bears no resemblance to that shithole. Given that the Spawn-Fuhrer is a French governance derivative, it is to be expected that he would toss other people’s money into another toilet so that he could be the toast of the town at the next Laurentian elite soirée.

    1. Well the Spanish started by genociding the locals. Arawaks I think? Anyways then imported slaves. So I’m not sure about Spanish governance. Maybe Mexico is a good example?

  8. From afar it looks as though Haiti is a black hole*, no reference to the population, where money disappears.
There were perhaps billions of dollars supposedly given to Haiti.
Today, Haiti is no better off than yesterday, in fact it is much worse.
As it appears it is a place to virtue signal by western, mostly North American politicians to show largesse, wholly in effort to make themselves look generous, while that country is going from bad to worse in a hand basket. They have actually no interest where the money goes, who profits in pretention of help, though they will tell you they care deeply.
What’s interesting, is that it will not stop for the foreseeable future, if ever.
How else would the politicians show their “caring”?
They just scalp from the plebeians.

*Black hole being a phenomenon in the life of stars where gravity is so strong that nothing, including light or other electromagnetic waves, has enough energy to escape its event horizon.

  9. At least one of the African countries mentioned has signed on. Reading between the lines there seems to be a possible training / immigration favour on offer too.

  10. The US military has been involved with Haitian affairs a few times, each time declaring their foray a success, and the Europeans as well.
A study was done on the men of Haiti in order to see what they could be trained as, in the military context.
They appeared to be below the IQ standard of what’s required, in order to be taught repeatable tasks.
Yet all sorts of helping hands always think they can do some good in the Haitian wasteland. Even those who teach basic farming to Haitians return each year to see how this year’s crop is doing, only to find the Haitians have eaten next year’s seed crop instead of saving it for planting, and then returned to eating “mud pie”

Dominican Republic has it right by building a fence along their border, and not allowing anyone from Haiti in except for the fruit and vegetable sellers who are required to return to Haiti at the end of their selling day.

The trade is shown at about 1 minutes here… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WvKeYuwifc
Most of the talkover on this video is sympathetic to the Haitian cause, to me it simply shows reasons to not allow contact with these people, who have been rewarding mediocrity for +200 years, and should abandon their past, perhaps move on to what works elsewhere so that in the year 2223, the country isn’t the same country as it is in 2023.

The people of Haiti, are as the colloquial term best describes them, “too stupid” to do better.
The western nations who feel they “must help” … “must do something” are wrong. The best thing Haiti can be is an example of what NOT TO DO, and who not to allow in to other countries.

The Haitians blame “poor soil” from 200 years past. As if there isn’t anything they could have done for generations to build the soil back to a resource worth harvesting from.

Now, Canada’s greatest idiot is going to change all this. #Libranos are idiots, and PM Trudeau remains their king.
I don’t hate Haitians because of their skin color as the author of the above video seems to blame, but at some point the intergenerational stupidity of what Haiti “offers” should be halted, if not left as an example to others of what not to do.

    1. Look at a photo of Haiti from space and its neighbour the Dominican Republic next door, it’s a wasteland while the DR is a green paradise.
Tells you everything you need to know.

  11. Well … brace yourselves Canada … for “your fair share of Sudanese Refugees”. I just flew back to the States and had to go through Customs at LAx … the massive switchbacking line of humanity was absolutely filled with men, women, and children in hooded pajamas … black as night and all speaking Sudanese Arabic. Our nations are now the repository of every shithole in the world. The murderous Muslims kill each other … and then come here to murder our beautiful culture. Lawless disorder replaces our prior law and order.

  12. Like father, like son. Fidel also made a Caribbean country into more of a hellish police state than it had been before. Funny how Fidel’s kid keeps getting away with racism, this time by imposing something on a nation of black people that most of them don’t want, and now we know why.

  13. “Just yesterday videos appeared showing Haitian police beating and stoning gang members before piling tyres on top of them and setting them on fire.”

They say that like its a bad thing.

  14. LOL…I’m old enough to remember game shows giving all paid vacations to Haiti as prizes.
    What a shit show.
Next door is Dominican Republic…not exactly a Utopia but a far sight better than Haiti. Of course it needs to be said that the Dominican Republic profits from Haiti’s misery as well…child sex trafficking…slavery and the whole nine yards.
    What a freaking mess.

    1. first prize 1 week in Haiti , second prize two weeks in Haiti

Prime Minister Prince selfiesox of Blackface should take the leech and the spawn there for a surfing holiday

  15. I’m afraid what Trudeau actually means, is that very soon QUEBEC will be elbows deep in Haitians.

And you know a lot of them will spread out and share their “Culture” with the rest of Canada.

    1. I travelled to Montreal on business in 1984. The Dorval airport had a mile long row of cabs outside, all manned by black men. Our driver told us that he and almost all the rest of them were from Haiti. This was all surprising to me at the time as I was still wet behind the years having just graduated from University. I don’t think we had more than twenty black people in all of Saskatoon at that time.

It surprised me that the first people I talked to in Quebec were all French speaking black men. It seems to me they were no better or no worse than the rest of the people I met in Montreal.

  16. After reading that April 24th article (missed it 1st time around), I’m guessing the $100 million is to help the Haitian police replenish their supply of tires.

  17. Just use Juthtin’s logic.
    Want to “fix” Canada?
    Get rid of the Canadians.
    Want to fix Haiti?
    Get rid of the Haitians.

  18. What’s happening in Haiti is Haiti happening. Like it has for a couple hundred years. Only fools get involved with that place.
