Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

In truth, I don’t think coding has much of a future either. Maybe hairdressing.
Buzz cut!
Maybe a tent in a San Fransisco park.
No future in hairdressing if there’s another “scamdemic.”
I’ve been doing this for 25 years and the software industry goes through expansions and contractions all the time. Thoughtless investment capital drives the hiring of large numbers of barely-competent people; market forces drive reductions in staff later. Software engineering will eventually stabilize as people stop chasing the sexy new tech thing and develop a healthy skepticism, but I expect that to take about a hundred years, total. So another fifty years or so.
Too stupid to learn to code, unfortunately for them the code learned how to journalism.
I remember when they chose to publicize the infamous (and non-existent) ‘pee tape’…and CNN then was ‘forced’ to do the same.
(“because BuzzFeed did it!.. We had no choice!”)
Despicable.
Anytime some leftist supposed journalism outfit crashes, I rejoice. The irony is that these organizations are so mired in their own shyte, they cannot read the tea leaves. CNN is failing slowly, and Buzzfeed just collapsed, yet those still surviving, are maybe just hanging on, yet they don’t seem to be able to see the wood for the trees.
Leftism is a disease, and once infected with it, they prefer to die with it rather than address the reality that the disease will eventually destroy them!
As their audience slowly dries up, they double down and dig in to that shyte even more. They simply cannot understand how outfits like Fox news “inexplicably” keeps gaining more viewers and ratings. Instead of acknowledging the “disturbance in their force”, they dig themselves deeper in to the pig pen mire so they can’t feel the disturbance.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results!
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results!”
Absolutely. Like you, I just can’t understand how all these supposedly well educated and experienced business executives can be so blind to what is happening. Did they learn nothing from Gillette? Coors? Nike? Disney?
The real mystery to me, though, is the shareholders…why haven’t *they* stepped in and put a stop to all this nonsense? It’s money right out of their pocket.
Buzzfeed. Quite frankly I had never heard of it.
