This warming of which you so assuredly write, is most noticeable by it`s absence but still you repeat your mantra despite 55 year of failed prognostications. Fifty five years, want to give us your rationale for the failure.

          2. You are right that the % really doesn’t matter. The question is what effect does CO2 have on global temperature? The correlation between higher CO2 levels and temperature is poor unless you agree that higher temperatures lead to higher CO2 levels and not the other way around.

        1) This planet has survived atmospheric CO2 concentrations of 7000 ppm. We are currently at ~410;
        2) In the middle of that 7000 ppm atmospheric CO2 concentration Earth experienced a planet-wide ice age;
        3) The GAST throughout the planet’s history is significantly higher than it is today;
        4) The average atmospheric CO2 concentration of the planet is significantly higher than it is today;
        5) CO2 is not pollution, it is a compound essential to life on this planet. At the end of the last ice age, this planet was within a whisker of dying because CO2 levels were so low.

        Read a geology book. Learn something.

          4. This is false. There is no CO2 time series that matches the resolution of annual (daily) atmospheric records. Apples to oranges. Plus you have to account for the fact that the Arctic ice mass (Greenland) melted almost entirely 400,000 years ago without a significant increase in CO2 as determined from ice core measurements. At a time when the location of the land masses was pretty much the same as today. No asteroids, no volcanoes, no Milankovitch cycles. No explanation. But it still happened – as measured by ice core data.

    Corporations don’t pay taxes. Taxes are an expense priced into the product and passed on to the customer.

    Check the nearest cemetery for those who don’t pay the carbon tax, and even then, I’m not 100% sure.

      1. You are right about CO2 concentration not being important. The human body contains about 5 grams of iron. Take that away and you die. It’s not so much the concentration as what the gas does. What it does is pale in comparison to water vapour, for one, and there is no link between increased CO2 in the atmosphere and temperature rise. There is a strong link between increasing temperatures and increasing CO2 (CO2 follows temperature), due to outgassing of the oceans and vegetation growth. Even Al Gore got that one wrong.

        You can always tell a scam by what the leaders are doing (not what they are saying). If Al Gore told me an asteroid was coming and he was building a bunker in the mountains I would believe him. But he’s just getting richer, as is John Kerry, Richard Branson – they are living the high life and partying while trying to convince us to stay home and eat insects.
