Well the weather was a shitshow in that area Wednesday evening, I almost pulled over to wait for it to blow over.
More background on Casey Oakes from the Ottawa Citizen – he was out on bail for at least two charges, including assault with a weapon:
“Oakes was charged last year at the Valleyfield courthouse with the Criminal Code offence of operating “a conveyance in a manner that, having regard to all of the circumstances, is dangerous to the public.”
He was also charged with assault with a weapon. The case was investigated by the Akwesasne police.
When he failed to show up in court on July 18 as ordered, a warrant for his arrest was issued. He was arrested in August and was released on bail. The next date in his case is scheduled for the end of May.”
