I could grant that Norwegians might be bigger hypocrites on climate, but it would be a stretch.

There is no question who the bigger idiots are. Canada wins the Idiocracy contest by a mile.

Hypocrisy is just one sin shared by both countries and the winner is irrelevant. Energy ignorance is the larger problem as both progressive regimes are wedded to the myth of “net zero”, or, engaged in industrial scale fraud and deception. De-carbonizing beyond what is beneficial for enhanced recovery is nothing more than a futile effort to please your enemies in a cause that is based on a politically manufactured crisis. Net zero is global mass murder of humanity as it can only be attained in a deindustrialized, depopulated, subsistence-level dystopia. High density energy deployment is the only road to maintaining and growing prosperity and environmental quality. Wind and solar are mythically green, low return on energy, low density, grid parasites and wastes of fossil fuel energy through their life cycles. The Boreal forest is sufficient to decarbonize the oil sands even if it actually caused warming slightly above natural noise.

Sin? Hell, for Gang Green hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug! How many of them are, “Do as we say, not as we do”? Every damn one of ’em.

I’m a one man show for the most part. I sell the ads, make the ads, write the stories, edit the columns, do it all. On rare occasions, I find time to sleep. I am doing this to feed my family and pay my mortgage. This is a real business for me. I simply do not have time to deal with moderating comments on my site, fighting battles every day. And lets face it – in any media, any part of the political spectrum, there are people who just want to fight.
On the cost-benefit analysis – there’s definitely a fiscal cost, never mind a time cost, to having comments. And at this point, I don’t see the profit in it.
That said, each story is posted to LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook, and comments are allowed there. There have been a few, very rare instances where I have blocked people because they were being jerks, and rightfully so.
Additionally, I never hide behind a fake name on any comment or social media platform. It’s always me, period. Very few people do that. To each their own, but if it’s me saying it, you that it’s me and you know where I stand.
