Let That Sink In

Live now: Twitter executives, including former FBI lawyer Jim Baker, testify before the House Oversight Committee about their handling of the Hunter Biden laptop.

Best burn of the day.

Another.

    1. Doesn’t matter. This is all an exercise in futility if “justice” is your forte. The congress can only refer recommendations for investigation and indictment to the Department of Justice. That is the pinnacle of their influence. The DOJ, on the other hand, can do whatever they want with the recommendation(s). And, we know that they are not interested in dismantling their very own censorship tool(s). In fact, I highly suspect that the DOJ will go on the offensive towards THOSE MAKING THE RECOMMENDATIONS countering their narrative and political ideology so as to intimidate the GOP into letting it go.

  1. Ah yes, more misrepresentation of the 1st amendment and judicial precedent. A reminder that simply reporting tweets is not a violation of the 1st amendment. Twitter itself cannot violate the 1st amendment.

It does become a violation for the government if one of two things are present. First, the government is directly involved in moderation decisions. Second, there is use of coercion.

So far I have seen evidence neither one.

    1. Ergo anything outside of Allans “reality” is false. Explains alot. Hint – your not likely to find much reality on Morning Joe Al.

    2. Gadde ” We received legal demands to remove content from the platform from the US government.”
As far as I know, Martin Kulldorff and Jay Battacharya are not in any legal jeopardy themselves but are behind some lawsuits against the government and Twitter. So what “legal demands”? Did they break the law?

    3. Government to Twitter:

Nice company you have there operating under our generous rules. Too bad if something happened to it!

No coercion indeed. The government doesn’t need to say anything. There is plenty of evidence that Twitter acted on government “requests.”

        1. That’s use of the infamous “Acting doesn’t prove anything” illogical argument. Almost as juvenile as the “So what are you gonna do about it?” illogical argument. To argue with that would be illogical.

A further piece of illogic is stating “Simply acting”. Does that refer to acting in a simple fashion? “Simply acting” doesn’t prove the point any more than “Complicated acting”.

          Have a nice, Turdeauesque, day.

  2. My hope is that the recommendations will be for either criminal charges or civil lawsuits.

My real hope is a 3 am armed SWAT no-knock warrant on these traitorous bastages with handcuffed arrests. With Fox cameras conveniently in the neighbourhood.

      1. You are very consistent.

Sleazy behaviour is hunky dory and you are pleased and proud of the fact that your team has refined sleaze to a fine art.

    1. Was the follow up question “Did you speak to anyone from the FBI that isn’t sitting here today?”

  3. It’s disgusting how the Democrats are defending the scoundrels at Twitter! Of course, what they’re really doing is defending the illegal actions of the Deep State!!!

    1. “Nothing will happen.”

Only if they tell the truth and they aren’t about to start doing that. They’re Democrats. There are no consequences for perjury.

  4. Holy cow, Roth looks nervous as hell. Fidgeting like mad, eyes darting, looks like he’s about to cry.

    1. MTG tore him a new one … although I suspect he’s already pretty torn up down there from all the Twinks who’ve been there.

  5. The Democrats spend a lot of time on keeping the Russia, Russia myth alive.

I’m going by memory here, but I believe the Russians spent around $ 100,000 on Twitter in 2016 and produced material that was directed at both parties but ultimately reached very few people. Compare that to the $2,000,000,000 spent by the parties, mainly the Democrats.

Mueller, among others, came to the consequence that yes, the Russians meddled in 2016, but few voters, if any were swayed. The Hunter Biden laptop censorship had much broader consequences.

    1. 100%

Putin is a cartoon character villain to the left. Because he won’t bend over for the LGBTQqAI2s+/-

  6. Hmmm…
This is curious. I put this “MTG: You permanently banned my Twitter account but you allowed child porn all over Twitter in the search”.
Found eggzactly (sic) one link, none on YouTube.
As it appears, there is a black hole that’s sucking in all that does not agree with the ‘social media’ and search engine providers.
It would not be a stretch to think that there would be even less if not for Musk.
    You would think?

    1. Far more election interference by the Democrat Deep State than the Macedonian content Farmers ever meddled. SHE got HER revenge. And that utter douche’bag Peter Strozk carried out his plans … exactly as he bragged to his unfortunate-looking mistress.
