How do they expire?
Date applied to almost all products encouraging the consumer blindly purchases more. Because, you know, it’s expired.
Including pink Himalayan salt at costco – already about 600 million years old, but due to expire May 2024 as per the label.
Its sure lucky they are getting this stuff mined and sold before it expires…..
I worked at a warehouse that distributes safety supplies.
They don’t expire but they do go bad.
They start to smell. They get bounced around warehouses, picking up the odor of whatever they’re stored next to. Cheap chinese paper and packing tape, humid storage conditions. Mice absolutely love to nest in the things.
Germany should be seeing this as a win-win – they can “thermally reprocess” them in the fireplaces of freezing Germans. Wouldn’t that make more sense?
Probably toxic gases emitted when they burn. Weren’t they all made in China?
Hopefully in a power generating plant so they can reduce their reliance on Russian gas.
Thermal processing. Much nicer sounding than burning.
We used to put all of our garbage into a thermal processing barrel. Once it was full of ash and unprocessed material, we would take it to the local dump. Eventually, the barrel would be corroded from the thermal processing and we would leave it behind.
The Germans have a proven record at thermal processing.
What fad will the Germans have to “thermally process” next?
Jabs?
We shouldn’t be to smug. A ton of masks and ppe accumulated after the H1N1 pandemic was mismanaged in Saskatchewan and had to be destroyed when it was needed. I expect the rest of Canada was the same.
I am surprised the Germans didn’t fob them off as military aid to Ukraine.
Don’t give the FedLibs any ideas.
Thermally reprocessed
Huh. That’s right up there with “high-impedance air gap” (describing the space between Justin’s ears).
Perfect!!!
My car does not burn gas… It thermally reprocesses it.
MUCH better than all those cars out there burning fuel!!
“It’s roasted.”
Didn’t the EU also buy enough ‘vaccine’ doses to allow for 10 for everyone? Think the Turd also overbought.
Gotta be a lot of expiries coming up on this ‘excess’. Weren’t they all supposed to be kept at some insanely low temperature too?
Really who cares if they got old smelly and had to be destroyed?. The humorous piece is the euphemism for burning. Thermally processed- really? How pompous. Apparently the writer never heard the maxim never use a big word when a small one will do! Burned – clear and succinct but oh so polluting. So much more so then thermally processed . Do the people who write this stuff do comedy too?
L – “Proper masks can be washed and re-used for when the next stagecoach comes by.”
-the Highwayman
Just wait till they start … thermally reprocessing … the unvaccinated? Didn’t your PM already express his desire to fire up the ovens and toss in some “misogynist” trucker protestors?
And China made a shitload of cash selling these fools the masks in the first place.
The concern du jour seems to be single use plastics… Did no one consider the fact that if everyone on the planet only used one mask, that makes how many billion single use masks?!
I now see more litter in the form of used masks than I ever did plastic straws, bags or utensils, even giving Tim Horton’s detritus a run for its money..
Many incinerators, sorry, thermal reprocessors can be fitted with heat capture devices to generate electricity or use for heating..
Converting one form of energy for another incurs losses, It’s the laws of thermodynamics that rule..
Maybe one day, everyone will have a “Mr. Fusion”
Type device to power their homes and transportation devices, helping to eliminate the strangle hold that government and large energy conglomerates have over us, “free” people..
