  1. thats one long neck bass. or is she tiny ?

he and Page were buddies . i think they lived close together. something in the water ?

    1. It’s a jazz, mine is eight inches longer than a tele or a Strat. I was always asked how I managed to find such large bass guitars. A Rickenbacker 4001 is about the same.
I only wish I could do half as well as Tal? She’s an amazing musician as Jeff fully understood and I believe he was delighted to have her on stage with him, he certainly never ceased praising her!

      1. I’m pretty sure that’s what … SHE … thought … SHE … sounded like … when sing-songing … “I ain’t no ways taaaerrd” … of course she didn’t … nor ever hope to look like that either. Joss Stone OTOH has made me a TRUE BELIEVER

Written for Jan Hammer… so many great acts were honored to play with. Joss Stone amongst them.
One of the truly great guitarists from a time when great guitarists were on every street corner.

He wrote Stevie Wonder’s song “Superstition”. it’s a great act him playing it with Stevie at the Hall of Fame with the girls in the background
His car collection, while not the same as Jay Leno’s, is incredible too.

  3. But I’m old enough to have absolutely fallen in love with Beck’s innovative work for The Yardbirds … arguably the 1st of the Supergroups … well at least when Jimmy Page was added … OK … when Clapton was added …

Holy Shit!! Look at what Beck does with his guitar with this Blues classic … I’m a man … and that spells B .. E … CK … MAN … oh MAN

  4. That’s too bad, I hadn’t heard. Not at all familiar with most of his work but I sure liked “Nadia”.

  5. And my absolute FAVORITE Beck tune … the solo comes about the 1:40 mark … and it simply rips through this crap quality video. A solo that you probably didn’t even notice on your 1960’s transistor AM radio …

Jeff Beck … an overlooked pioneer in psychedelic guitar.

  6. We lost a guitar legend today. Did stuff with a Strat never even imagined before.
Tal is a fabulous bassist! Came over from Australia when she was18…and shortly after is part of Beck’s band. Does it get any better than that!

    1. I’d never heard her, or of her. Came here to find out who she is – hope I hear more of her. Fabulous is a good word.

Jeff Beck was on another planet . He took me and Ronnie Wood to the USA in the late 60s in his band the Jeff Beck Group and we haven’t looked back since .

He was one of the few guitarists that when playing live would actually listen to me sing and respond .
Jeff, you were the greatest, my man . Thank you for everything . RIP
