1/ I am glad @bruce_arthur took the time to speak with me about my views and my record.
Unfortunately, his article is full of mistruths and misquotes, starting with the headline.
2/ I did *not* say I won’t “miss public health.”
Based on all the kind farewell notes I have received from professionals in the field this week, I daresay I might be missed back.
3/ I did *not* compare prom to “a living death.” I did *not* “compare mask mandates to the MeToo movement.”
4/ I did *not* say that “only randomized control trials are sufficient evidence for pandemic policy.”
5/ I did *not* say that “vaccine delivery was the only intervention in the pandemic that [I believe] was justified.”
6/ I understand that Bruce and the Toronto Star are in an awkward position. They were wrong about vaccine mandates, wrong about mask mandates, wrong about border restrictions, wrong about school closures.
7/ Haldimand-Norfolk had 30% less Covid mortality over the pandemic than the provincial average. Their success throws the Toronto Star’s mistakes into sharp relief.
8/ I wish @TorontoStar would acknowledge its mistakes, rather than double down by misrepresenting the facts of the matter and my views. I have texted Bruce to try and figure out how my comments were misinterpreted this way but so far no response.
That would be the Toronto Star that receives $115,000 a *WEEK* in subsidies from the Liberal Party of Canada government
I suspect that the $155,000 figure underestimates things for this zombie legacy media shell. If we look at government and government-sponsored advertising as a de-facto subsidy, the number would be much higher. I’ll bet lots of other “sweeteners” too. Someone really should dig deeper.

Obviously, the continuing series of the media’s great “vaccine Omerta” as they play cover for the medical hitman establishment figures in government circles.
How about a fair trial, followed by rope meeting lamppost for the vaccine offenders? But then you would have to conclude that the confluence of government, media and medical officials are the next best thing to the SS Nazis of yesteryear.

People really should read the Red Star hit piece linked by Kate. Just read it all and then ponder the gap between the perspective of the author and that of the sane. According to Star, no government is ever too much and no harm perpetrated by government is ever unnecessary, cruel and capricious.
Rule 1:
don’t talk to the press
Rule 2:
if you talk to the press, record everything
Rule 3:
release your recordings when the press lies.
Rule 1:
don’t talk to the press that is known to be hostile to your political philosophy.

Dr. Strauss’ remarks weren’t misinterpreted. They were sculpted to be force-fit into the existing narrative stream. It’s absolutely possible that Bruce Arthur did this unconsciously, after several years of being trained (like a seal) to write what his Lords and Masters have told him to write. If true, then there’s no further need for oversight — he’s the proverbial self-licking ice cream cone.
Good luck Bruce. Working at any one of Canada’s media outlet means never having to say you’re sorry.
Further – I’ve been following the Jordan Peterson vs. Tik Tok star Rachel Gilmore (Global News) saga lately via Viva Frei. You can’t help but be left with a “surely no one on this earth is this rock hard stupid and work at a news outlet” If the answer is no than it has to be a straight up lying sociopath. Any pushback of course inevitably leads to the tried and true “attack on journalists, specifically females” counter which is why Peterson should never have engaged with the troll in the first place.
Oh well.
Only a professional journalist could get something so wrong.

That’s a journalist comparison…only a journalist could compare missing prom to missing funerals, missing get togathers, missing seeing parents and grandparents, missing graduation, missing 3 years of school, missing seeing freinds, missing…. which is exactly sort of a living death. Two or three years of our lives were a living death, thanks to our wonderful government officials. No, can’t compare that to missing prom, which is what the journalists routinely do.
They can take their public health and stick it where the sun don’t shine. I WON”T MISS PUBLIC HEALTH.
Whether you like it or not, public health as presently constituted here in Canaduh is going to die, for sure, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. There WILL be private health care, either legal or winked at, and it will be coming soon.

The newspapers and television have not changed at all. Ponder that when recalling the huge uproars of our youth, from the counterculture hippies to the Cuban Missile Crisis. They lied about all that just as hard as they’re lying now about the pandemic.

I have no ‘social media’ presence whatsoever. Never been on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or any other platform, since they seem to do more harm than good (bullying, Cancel Culture, etc), but the one thing that they *are* good for is spreading information to hundreds of thousands or even millions of people in a way that only the MSM could previously do. Because of this, the Big Lie technique perfected by Goebbels and his like NO LONGER WORKS as it did in the past. That alone makes social media a valuable asset to anyone who seeks the truth when presented with obvious lies by the mainstream news media…

#1 it is. He was a failure as a sports reporter and that’s almost impossible to ‘accomplish’ but he managed to do it.
In my opinion the “right-wing fringe publication The Epoch Times” is a more credible source of information than the parasitic taxpayer-subsidized pro-government teat-sucking fake news publication Toronto Star.
