  1. I have to laugh at the idiocy that surrounds the myth that electric vehicles are somehow “green”. If CO2 really was a problem EV’s are not the answer. Of course CO2 is not a problem and is not a climate driver, never was, never will be.

    1. Why now, why more and more stories now about the negative side of EV production and operation?

      This is not new info, anyone with half a brain was saying all this stuff decades ago. So why now?

      Simple, what will be the result. Fewer EVs, with justification. So now you can’t have your gas/diesel car and soon you won’t have your EV either.

      You are NOT supposed to have a car. Period.

      Does no-one actually read what the enviro bimbos are saying? No car, no house, no heat, no vacation, no meat, no criticism etc, etc.

      Why don’t we believe them at what they are saying? They are very plainly telling us what they plan, maybe it’s time we start believing them and act accordingly in fighting them.

    2. But VOWG! EV’s produce NO tailpipe emissions! So all the moms of Palo Alto can “safely” drive their children to school. The Power Plant recharging their eco-cars spews “cancer-causing” chemicals on the poor people … and who cares about the poor people … they should have been aborted anyway … right? So long as the children of the elite NEVER get exposed to all that noxious tailpipe exhaust … they will live to be 150 years old. They believe if it weren’t for toxic tailpipe exhaust, chemicals in our food, and poisons emitted by evil rightwing corporations … we would all live for 200 years. Trust me … I live with these people … they ACTUALLY do believe this.

The closest we could / will get to net zero is if / when we return to pre-industrial squalor as rapid turnover of carbon through burning dung, peat, and wood are apparently acceptable to those whose real goals have nothing to do with climate. Tribal domination is / was / always the real goal and what better way to succeed than with mass hysteria and delusional statist salvation.

    1. John, not even then, net zero is a fraud, all life on the planet could cease to exist and net zero will still never be possible.

  3. If at least an EV was at par with a combustion vehicle once it’s produced…not even close:
    -More expensive
    -inferior in very hot or very cold conditions
    -Dramatic increase in over all time spent travelling long distances, not by minutes but by hours due to recharging time.
    -Millage performance of a combustion engine increases as the weight of a full tank reduces gradually while driving…An EV battery weighs the same full or empty charged.
    – Towing distance for EV pick up/SUV dramatically reduced
    – Availability of charge stations limited by areas…cannot go hunting or fishing in remote areas where gas canisters can be hauled. Hauling electricity is not possible.
    – Durability and longevity of battery life inferior to most good engineered gas engines (For example, try to kill a 4.3 or 5.7 lt (350 CI) GM)…a 2018 Chevy volt battery replacement with 70K miles recently cost $23,000 US. To replace a GM V8 engine would cost approximately 8 grand.

    All this effort to reduce C02 in the atmosphere, one of 5 essential elements for life on Earth.

    Never underestimate the folly of the human condition.

    1. Metalguru, You are one hundred percent correct, but I noted your mention of going hunting and fishing.

      They don’t want you hunting and fishing, they don’t want you traveling anywhere beyond your home area, and they do want you living in a Megacity slum with the rest of the peasants. Once only EV’s are available, they will start scrapping ICE’s, then once the batteries begin dying off, and battery replacements are the same as a new EV, then you either buy new every seven to ten years or quit owning even EV’s due to poverty, as I would also bet the cost of EV’s to rise exponentially as well. Yes, CO2 is an essential element, but most of the dumb proles don’t know, or even wish to know, that info. They don’t want to have to think at all, and the PTB don’t want any of us thinking either.

  4. It all depends where its mined. In the Congo the little kids and adult humans are probably pretty carbon neutral because they’re black, African and poor.
    China carbon doesn’t count because the WEF says so.
    On the other hand, in K-bec, it’ll be beau coup carbon intense as you have to include the farts of all the merde tete bureaucrats involved.

    But the electrical infrastructure – source/production, delivery grid upgrades, charging stations just can’t be ignored once you go balls deep into costs.
    Does somebody think new or altered car production lines are carbon free?
    The lost fuel taxes need to replaced and that ain’t chicken feed.

    Then its recycling time.

  5. That 72,000 acres has been a part of the Western skyline from Salt Lake for a hundred years. Attempting a nonsensical “recovery” of it would be, well, nonsensical.

    There’s no scientific evidence that human emissions of CO2 have any influence on the climate. None. That makes all of this just a costly discussion of how many angels can dance on the head of a pin; and therefore, the perfect undertaking for Western governments.

  7. What you hear and what you get.. Pretty sure the 3rd world countries just want their welfare without a lecture.. Pretty sure our? leftists measure zero carbon at their tailpipes.. Its all filtered through people who don’t care where it came from or where it goes as long as it reflects well on them..

    Fun fact.. You cant save the world.. Mass extinctions and catastrophic climate change happen with or without man.. We can no more do it within reason than stop it within reason.. BUT because its very nature is unmeasurable it lives in computer models.. Brain candy for politicians and grifters.. Same same..

    So.. Like all trends we have to ride it out until it runs out of steam.. You cant hide the truth forever..

  8. Net zero is a joke unless the human race is eliminated. It’s an accounting trick.

    Cap and trade is a scam. It’s just another way for those who claim the credits to make money.

    Carbon sequestration is a scam. Jamming CO2 underground doesn’t make any sense.

    I’m not against EVs – there are benefits. But you can’t get past the Kool-Aid to have a reasonable conversation anymore. Like the guy who is running New York’s electricity grid who thinks adding 9 M EVs will only increase electricity use by 25%. The year 2035 is going to be interesting.

  9. For example, New York State uses 5,707,665,210 gallons of gasoline per year. A gallon contains 33.7 kwh of equivalent electricity. Converting gallons to electricity gives 192,348,318 Mwh. The state used 124,944,935 Mwh of electricity in 2021. So New York State would have to double it’s electricity capacity unless it was planning on taking away automobiles from 75% of its population.

    The doubling of grid power is similar for other jurisdictions. You also need to double it to switch from natural gas heating to electricity. So a tripling of the grid infrastructure is needed to keep people using the same amount of net energy. Impossible.
