    Final wrapping and LCBO provisioning.
    Christmas Eve homemade tortiere and a nice chewy Merlot.
    Christmas morning presents and work begins on the apple sausage stuffing and the turkey.
    Christmas Day dinner with my fam of 4 plus my mom.
    Maybe a snowy day firepit and some wintery stars and good cheer in the yard.

    (And of course Dallas Cowboys beat the Eagles at 430pm on Christmas Eve…a nice bonus this year)

For the rest of the story there’s pro Russian sources on how the Ukraine sets up bases and launches attacks from residential areas including schools and hospitals and targets refugee convoys and a nuke plant. The shelling of non-military targets in Donetsk continues to this day.

      The leaders of the Ukraine didn’t want a peaceful settlement. Poroshenko & Merkel are on record saying the Minsk agreements “meant nothing” and claimed credit for giving Kiev enough time to militarize and launch an attack on the break away regions.

      Hope the Ukrainians wake up and realize how they have been used and their country is been destroyed by the pro-War lobby in Washington. Only a psychopath would cheer on people being forced into the front trenches and being blown to pieces to create PR and keep the charade going and $$$$s flowing.

        There was a recent interview with a woman from liberated Kherson. She said life is worse after the liberation. Why? Russia keeps shelling Kherson randomly. Ukraine never did that.

        There’s plenty of quality sources that easily prove you are wrong. OSCE is one of them. Russia constantly hits civilian targets and blames Ukraine. It’s a part of their propaganda.

        The smarter people have figured that out.

  10. Space based solar is a great idea. I seem to remember Jerry Pournelle, soon after 911, suggested that America take the trillions it was about to spend on a land war in Asia and use it to develop this type of technology.

    1. No, not really, fossil fuels and nuclear are great ideas, they are perfect ideas, they are wrold’s greatest ideas, and there is no need to look for alternatives. All policies that promote alternatives are sabotage or human well being.

    2. Space Based Solar Power can work, and now with Space-X putting payloads in orbit weekly, actually building a solar power satellite (SPS) is feasible. Maybe someone can sell it to Elon Musk? Solar powered Teslas? SPS to power Musk’s Mars Colonies?

      With the choice of proper orbits, an SPS can supply power to Earth 24 hours a day, unlike solar cells mounted on someone’s house roof.

    FYI – – This is the third shooting in about a year in the “Gun Free Zone” of the Mall of America. Tonight someone died over some petty beef between two groups of “youths.”

    After the last shooting, where no one died? The Bloomington Police Chief arrested, and actually had the Hennepin County Attorney charge the shooter, his accomplice and three other people working at a hotel that helped him escape the mall. He threatens the same thing here. And with the dead body, he can make charges of felony murder for anyone in the fight, and also charge anyone that aids the escape of the shooter and his accomplices. The Bloomington Police Chief understands how important the MOA is to Bloomington MN, and how important preventing crime in the mall really is. I just hope the new incoming Hennepin County Attorney will back him up and actually charge and prosecute the (alleged) criminals. I fear she may be a soft on crime SJW.

    (Bloomington Police Chief) Hodges urged the gunman and the others involved in the fight to turn themselves into police. “We are going to catch you, we are going to lock you up and you are going to get an orange jumpsuit,” he said. “It’s just a matter of when it’s going to happen.” He also warned people against aiding the suspects in avoiding arrest. “If anybody helps these people — I mean so much as buy them a Happy Meal, give them a ride,” the visibly upset chief said. “We’re going to lock you up with them.”

    1. The MOA was built by the same people that built that big mall in Edmonton Alberta. Do they have the same problems with violence in their Canadian mall too?

      1. The US is an inherently more violent country. People focus on guns, but fists and blunt force trauma far out outnumber gun violence cases, they just don’t get the attention. Liberals can’t ban fists.
        When people grow up in a country where they are allowed to defend themselves, they will.
        FAFO applies big time in the US.
        Not prosecuting true criminal behavior (i.e. Soros backed DA’s) is where the system breaks down.

      2. I can’t recall hearing of a murder in West Edmonton Mall. Because of the volume of calls, WEM had and might still have a police station there but I suspect most of the calls are for shoplifting.

    1. Yes but our national debt costs us $26 B a year in interest payments, increasing to $43 B by 2027 (almost twice our military budget) so we’re good. The budget is actually balancing itself.

  20. Here in the northern tier of southwestern Ontario’s Banana Belt we are enjoying a typical Prairie snow storm Always wanted to visit the Prairies, not so certain about their weather visiting us.

  22. Here in Grey Bruce we are under our 2nd day of blizzard all highways closed and in owen sound most business closed, main city streets are being plowed side streets have to wait,
    I shoveled through a good 6ft drift at front of house and shoveled same around car.
    Got a guy with tractor blower coming to clean out lane, I sent him a message to wait until plow goes by.
    Supposed to last into boxing day.

      Thank goodness they have their priorities in ensuring the segregated bicycle lanes are clear throughout the winter.
