    Kate, no idea why you are comparing Russias annual military budget- which is around 90 billion for 2022 btw – to the price tag of total Ukraine support. This price tag includes outdated military equipment with a pricetag attached. HIMARS rockets that are 2 generations old. 155mm HE shells that are 2 generations old.

    The US hasn’t provided a single fixed wing manned aircraft. Zero self propelled howitzers. Zero reapers. There’s hundreds of each scheduled to be retired. Would you be upset if they instead gave those to Ukraine because they’re “spending” millions?

    You’re also comparing Russias military spending to the TOTAL support for Ukraine. Including demining, financial support, refugee support, among many other things that wouldn’t happen if Russia hadn’t started this unjustified BS war.

    Meanwhile Russias economy has had -4.1% annualized growth for 2 quarters in a row. By far the worst in the G20. No other country has negative growth.
