Canada will never be a manufacturing centre. All our industries are built around local resources. Canada is the worst place on earth to house people for the sake of housing people. The government, with the consent of the citizenry, decides who may enter and who may become a citizen there in.
This because, if a large enough influx of people not sharing the values/culture, by definition, can and will destroy both the nation and the nation-state. The slower,
orderly immigration policy, with the consent of the governed, ensures the foreign immigrants, either already do or are willing to adopt enough of the shared values/mainstream culture; that they help to sustain it; rather than destroy the nation/nation state, via chaos and civil war from within.
Economics is part of the analysis, as nation states provide citizen financed services to
the residents and if unwilling or unable to contribute to that sustainable model.
They raise the cost of housing, lower the wage levels and may become a financial
burden, instead of a benefit to the nation-state. Some may require a generation
or two, before their education, skill levels and integration/assimilation rise to a level
of a benefit to the nation-state.

began formally in 1648 under the Treaty of Westphalia. Acceleration began as former
colonies continued to claim/acquire nation-state status. The political subversion to
reverse this back into an age of Empires; ones governed by transnational/globalist
