      1. After skimming through it (because I can’t really say I actually read it), I agree. It seems like it was written by a bot rather than a person. Regardless, it’s pseudo intellectual gibberish.

    1. Together, we swish along and touch the divine through the abhorrent.

Yeah … the “divinity” of Satan. Marxists and Queers really mangle language and meaning to pretend normalcy … even superiority.

    2. PoMo gibberish aside, there’s a very real problem with publish-or-perish leading to this kind of “autoethnography” being accepted as legitimate academic study. Like the woman who squeezed an entire academic paper out of going to Ikea and noticing that the children’s chairs were small (seriously, what is it with these defectives and Ikea. Just Google for “ikea autoethnography” and see what you get).

These degenerates couldn’t get this stuff published by any gay-focused publishing house because no one would buy it; every degenerate has their own story of degeneracy where they’re the narcissistic star. They don’t want to pay to read someone else’s.

      1. “…every degenerate has their own story of degeneracy where they’re the narcissistic star.”

        The 2020s in one sentence.

    3. Someone tell the guy who makes his living stringing words together that “transit” is a verb…not a noun.
      Carry on.

    4. Touching the divine through the abhorrent?! It’s bad enough I am thinking what I am; I will not write it.

  1. Well, I read the introduction.
I assume the entire book is the same sort of pseudo-intellectual gibberish.
The Caribbean who, for some reason, MUST immigrate to America?
Mostly because if xer hadn’t the beatings would continue.

Kate, did the reader and commenter’s do something to annoy you?
    We’re really sorry.

  2. OK.. I read it and it reminds me of Mein Kampf.. Seig black gay latinx heil :).. Whatever that means..

    1. That is why Milton placed the fallen Satan upside down in Hell in his epic poem, Paradise Lost. Inverted.
A masterpiece of the crux of things. You know, the perennial battle. Be not afraid.

  3. As I understand it, the only people who use ‘Latinx’ are white, woke Democrats. I could have misunderstood, though.

But if that is so, perhaps Carlos Ulisis Decena is just writing for the only people who will buy the @#!&! book. Maybe it will be a hit at Drag Queens Children’s Story Hour.

  4. As a civilization is rotting from within, mere liberal tolerance of deviancy is never enough. Deviancy must be normalized, coercively by the state if not through academia and the greater nihilistic culture. Caligula has been reincarnated not just at the highest levels but throughout the institutions.

    1. Yes. Tolerance implies that there is something wrong with what is being tolerated. Instead we must celebrate and promote it. I’m out.

  5. I regret that this comment, in an inestimably small way, contributes to the controversy and division that the creators of this shit desire.

  6. Gay Black Latinx immigrants? What a vile, bigoted creature to exclude handicapped left-handed albino midgets from the conversation. But keep drilling down, soon you’ll reach the ultimate in the oppressed minority field, the individual.

  7. I’ve never, ever, made a comment like this before, but this posting’s content cries out for it:

    “Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.”

  8. Awesome! Being gay/trans is progressive. And I got to read the introduction for FREE! A greedy white cis male would’ve charged me!!

  9. Here is a petite segment:
“This text interrupts the desire to know, explain, and master. Instead, the lowlife bitch narrator steers in the direction of an openness that can produce ruptures—rajas that hurt but that might also hurt good, hurt hot enough to make you hard/wet: contradictions as we sit with the tingle, licking the cut or the sphincter that dilates as we press a finger or tongue or as we swallow and hold the shocks and thrusts of expressive puncture.
Thinking and feeling like a flaming faggot is intellectually, politically, and spiritually productive, for the sake not of the queen who speaks, but of the queerness in nosotres.”

All this beneath a Duke University Press Watermark.

  10. Having a friend from the Carribean who is a very serious Hombre! He was a personal body guard for the President of the country he was from. He is a strong believer and follower of Jesus.

I have rarely met a man who is so violently opposed to homosexuality. He has told me that the killing of gays is normal. No mercy, no forgiveness. This is normal where he is from.

      1. Yes, but in the end, they won’t hesitate to do it to you. Conundrum. For instance, WW2. Will you be as brutal towards the Japanese as they are to you? What’s a decent person to do?

        1. The Japanese in WWII were animals. Ask any old Chinese/Korean/Philippino guy, they will tell you.

The Americans, by contrast, were -efficient-. Brutality is for the weak.

  11. I didn’t read much except a little in the comments, thanks.

Sounds like ’50 Shades of Gay’.
