  2. Here’s a little gift to my compatriots here on SDA for American Thanksgiving:
“It doesn’t matter who you vote for, the government always gets in.” – old Anarchist joke.

    Cheers.

  3. Apologies to SDAers if this has already been posted, but Joe Biden’s chief of staff has tweeted a list of talking points to say to that “conservative uncle” sitting at the Thanksgiving dinner table: “President Biden’s Greatest Achievements “.
    https://www.thewellnews.com/white-house/white-house-offers-up-thanksgiving-talking-points-to-get-through-thursdays-dinner/

As many have said, Americans want to escape from their economic and political worries this Thanksgiving, giving thanks for what blessings they do have, watching NFL football and sharing a cold one.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends.

  4. Chrystia Freelunch is testifying at the inquiry and lying her hindquarters off. The feed can be seen at True North blog here: https://tnc.news/2022/11/24/chrystia-freeland-testifies/

Can anybody explain to me how when she starts looking away from the lawyer under question, she does a high speed repetitive head bob? It is a very weird tell. As I post this, she is being questioned (I use that term with reluctance because it is pretty mild) by the government counsel.

“Biden’s handlers desperately needed someone who presented no possible threat to Joe. They needed an individual who is devoid of talents and lacking in any initiative. They needed someone who is inept and unwilling to compensate with effort that which she lacked in talent.”

Tourism Minister Randy Boissonnault is concerned that the Sovereign act is unconstitutional. Ironic seeing that Tourism is a provincial responsibility. And where was he when Trudeau shut the borders? Have no fear Minister of Nothing, the Ministry of Silly walks is still open. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCLp7zodUiI

Disturbing stuff. Goes to show that there’s government, and then there’s ‘extended government’ where money gets spent but with way less accountability. Honestly the political equivalent of ‘black ops’. Must read. Kudos to the Kays.

  8. Well, he was doing so well, and got further than I expected any conservaderp leader before saying something really stupid, but it’s happened. Poilievre wants more drug war, and is proud of his wild ignorance wrt drugs.

    https://nationalpost.com/opinion/chris-selley-poilievres-anti-drug-pitch-is-a-failure-of-imagination

He actually said this in a video: “There is no safe supply of these drugs. They are deadly, they are lethal, and they are relentlessly addictive.”

This is of course completely wrong, like everything else conservaderps say about drugs. Pure unadulterated heroin is not that dangerous, you can be addicted to it for decades and go on living.

“The data from B.C. are unambiguous. From 2019–2022, the B.C. Coroners Service deemed fentanyl and fentanyl analogues relevant in 86 per cent of drug-overdose deaths in the province. It deemed “other opioids” — everything from prescription oxycodone to street-corner heroin — relevant in 23 per cent of deaths. Cocaine was implicated in more deaths than fentanyl-free opioids (45 per cent) as were amphetamines and methamphetamines (42 per cent) and even good old-fashioned alcohol (26 per cent).

From March 2020 to December 2021, the B.C. Centre for Disease Control reported, “there were no illicit drug toxicity deaths where hydromorphone was the only substance detected in post-mortem toxicology” — hydromorphone essentially being pharmaceutical-grade heroin, now available by prescription in B.C.”

There is an exceedingly tendentious BS narrative coming out of BC that drug addiction is driving crime and homelessness, with no evidence to support it.

    1. Suggest you watch the documentary ” Vancouver is Dying”. Yes there is a correlation between homelessness and crime and the current runaway drug use.

      1. I’ll take data instead of tendentious documentaries (which is the vast majority of documentaries).

West Virginia has extremely high drug use and very low homelessness. Amsterdam has lots of drugs, not that many cops, and crime is under control. Switzerland has legal prescription heroin and very low crime. No causation without correlation.

There is exactly one cause of homelessness in significant numbers: restrictions on housing, particularly SRO and motel residency. There is one overwhelming reason for Vancouver’s street crime problem which is a relative handful of repeat career criminals that area courts refuse to lock away. This is aggravated by the housing shortage. The ‘connection’ to drug abuse is a contrivance.

    2. “…“there were no illicit drug toxicity deaths where hydromorphone was the only substance detected in post-mortem toxicology””

‘Course not! ‘Cause they were all busy assigning COD as the Coof in order to further the jab narrative!

  9. Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends. I love your traditions and have celebrated them myself for many years.

My fondest memories are of watching football with my dad. Alas, I’m not at home this week so I’ll miss celebrating with my husband.

On the upside, I’m in Calgary so I get football at 11 a.m. Go Bills!

“… Police are still searching for two other individuals. Muhsin Sufi, 23, and Abdulhai Patel, 20, are both wanted for similar offences….”

  11. Time to Stand Against Tyrannical Bill 36

Dr. William Makis will join us to talk about the BC Governments intent to pass Bill 36.

Here is what Adrian Dix had to say about this bill “If a healthcare professional gives misinformation to a patient such as ‘speaking against the vaccines,’ this Bill now implements a duty to report that healthcare professional as a risk to the public.”

Bill 36 will give the BC Minister of Health the ability to appoint College Boards who are then required to pass bylaws mandating vaccines for any illness the government chooses as a condition of license, and creating an environment of censorship where if you challenge the government’s position on anything you will face discipline and potentially lose your license. It also allows the College to determine who has good character and who doesn’t and to define informed consent. This is legislation you would typically see in a communist or a police state, not in a democracy.

    1. Thanks for bringing attention to this. Very worrisome. BC seems to have doubled down on draconian and pointless vaccine mandates. I believe someone is using them as a testing ground for introducing totalitarian measures. Being heavily leftist, BCers won’t object and many won’t even see what is happening.
