      I like Trump, he was an effective president and was cheated out of a second term. If he had managed to stay in office, it would be a DeSantis coronation in 2024.

      But I’m not sure Trump can win again. Oh sure, if the election was fair he would win, no doubt about it. But it won’t be fair, we all know that. If he runs and loses it will be devastating for the US and for western civilization.

      So I’m disappointed that he’s running again. DeSantis has the best chance, as long as Trump doesn’t torpedo him.

            Trump ran in 2020 on … nothing. MAGA is not an agenda. In 2016, Trump was all agenda, and Hillary offered nothing. In 2022, the Reps ran on … “waaaah, inflation, Ukraine, trannies…”. But I never heard a SINGLE plan out of any of them. I called this election back in the summer. I said Reps will be lucky to squeak by with ONE House, most likely Congress.

            Trump in ’24? What is his plan,? A repeat of 2022 is not going to cut it. I highly doubt Trump can pull off a win in 2024. The US needs a steady hand, and cool nerves, to navigate them through their Imperial Retirement, the closure of hundreds of overseas Imperial forts, and the replacement of the Imperial currency gracefully, and in a way that builds a lasting international peace, a stable US economy that is NOT based on acts of international piracy, and a stable multipolar order.

            Trump is not that guy.

        2. I’m afraid that after 2022 midterms, I’ve been officially black-pilled. I don’t think we’ll ever see a free or fair election again, but if anyone can beat this rigged system, it is DJT. DeSantis may be seen as less polarizing today, but if he were declared the leading Republican candidate for the presidency, Democrats and their complicit media will immediately declare him to be the Anti-Christ. Makes no difference. And to be clear, his success in navigating Florida through the pandemic, clearly better than did any other governor in the United States, will be entirely mis-characterized and turned against him by Democrats, who not only struggle with math, but have no problem lying outright. It’s not as is if there is any honest media to call them on their blatant lies.

      The biggest failing of the limping, incompetent Republican party is that it fails to recognize the new rules of engagement in politics. As long as complacent, rich and slothful Mitch McConnell maintains his current position, the Republican party will continue to suck, and to wrest failure from the jaws of victory.

      It’s not as if the Biden administration lacks a record of failures that can be highlighted by Republicans. McConnell either doesn’t know how to win, or finds a process that leads to success to be personally offensive.

      The Republican party presumably still believes in meritocracy. If that still holds, then a failure such as just witnessed in the mid-term elections should be punished. That dictates the removal of McConnell. Immediately.

He said that Americans haven’t really felt the disaster of the uncontrolled inflation … yet. We haven’t. The job cuts hadn’t started BEFORE the midterms. Funny how they’ve started the firings NOW … after the midterms. Even today … Amazon is slashing 10% of its workforce. Trump is correct … it is gonna get ugly. Really ugly. By the time 2024 rolls around, and we are in a Depression … Americans will get teary eyed nostalgic about Jan. 2020 … when the Stock market was at its highest ever levels and the economy was BOOMING! Inflation was low, and gasoline ,and heating fuels … affordable.
