Diversity Is Our Strength

Epoch Times;

Yuesheng Wang, 35, of Candiac, Quebec, allegedly obtained trade secrets “to benefit the People’s Republic of China, to the detriment of Canada’s economic interests,” an RCMP spokesperson said in a press conference on Nov. 14.

“Mr. Wang was charged with espionage for obtaining trade secrets in the course of his duties with Hydro-Québec,” said Insp. David Beaudoin. “This is the first time this charge has been laid in Canada.”

Wang is facing four espionage-related charges, including: obtaining trade secrets, unauthorized use of computer, fraud for obtaining trade secrets, and breach of trust by public officer.

  1. Yuesheng Wang? An obvious Quebecois name in my mind.

I think the Winnipeg lab ‘workers’ had similar names, if memory serves..

Take him to the Chinese police station in Montreal!

  2. Somehow, at some time, all charges will be dropped very, very quietly.

Because JT will do what his master will tell him.

      1. Darn… I was going to say that, and call him “a Canadian” to boot!

        Shades of Wah-Wai! (I know I didn’t spell it right, but I don’t care.)

I wonder where this Wang fellow will be incarcerated… Probably in a mansion by the lake… Maybe Harrington Lake?

    1. Actually he may well get off in court. From what has been reported in the media , Wang filed patents. Initially I was puzzled but then on reflection , it is a clever way to send the data to China without actually sending it.

It will be interesting to see if any of the charges stick , as it would appear the most he did was illegally(?) use company data to take out a patent. The court may look at the charges and toss them.

BTW : The RCMP is trying to make it look like they discovered the breach , but it was Hydro Quebec that discovered it , not the RCMP.

  3. Decades of open borders would make the Soviet espionage sleeper cells of days gone by weep with envy today.

    1. The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep

Miles to go before you sleep, Paul.

  4. It must have been pretty blatant and clumsy espionage for His Majestys Horse Gestapo to figure it out.

The CCP will be displeased. I’d assume Panda Bear will retire this minion with a 7.62mm going away present.

  5. A nice little scapegoat to placate the idiot masses.
No doubt a Chinese asset that wasn’t meeting his assigned goals, so Canada will punish him on behalf of the CCP.

  6. Anyone here that thinks this is unusual evidently doesn’t know history. We have been had ever since Pearson was elected. Just look at the recent past within the Trudeau government then go back and read the real history behind Maurice Strong. Hell most Canadians today don’t even know Strong.

    1. Back in 1992 I had an internship at CANMET where we were warned in orientation about visiting Chinese scientists asking innocuous questions that could be combined across visits to reveal more than we realized.

From 2010 to 2013, the private engineering company I worked for fired three different Chinese employees from its Canadian offices for industrial espionage. That’s just the ones we caught; we knew there was tons more of it going on. Any company that does business in or with China accepts that they are going to lose IP; it’s factored into the cost of doing business.

    2. I followed Strong’s mischief making for years. He was the king pin of a lot of social and political damage — e.g, the climate change agenda, CIDA slush fund, lot of UN agenda etc. I am not even sure he is dead.

  7. Another head scratcher. Employing an individual who bears a youthful resemblance to “Oddjob” stealing trade secrets for god knows how long…2016 I guess.
Well done HR. I mean, they’re not even commenting on his citizenship status so what does that tell ya?
    This country is hopeless.

  8. Totally in agreement with JJMcCollough – Why one Earth aren’t the names of the 11 federal candidates allegedly compromised by Chinese spies being released???
    Another one of life’s mysteries.

    1. Canada’s libel laws are absolutely ridiculous. They’re a holdover from the British aristocracy wanting to keep the peasantry from saying mean things about them. They serve the same purpose today.

    2. Klaus Schwab has stated publicly that Justin Trudeau and 50% of his Cabinet are indoctrinated members of the WEF. He was actually bragging at the time about how much control he could exert over the politics of the government of Canada. Why has no Canadian news source either print or electronic identified who these Ministers of the Crown are. Shouldn t the citizens and voters these people represent in Parliament have a right to be made aware of their duplicity !

      1. Schwab famously bragged by using the term “penetrated cabinet” to make himself seem more of the evil megalomaniac psychopath he is because he didn’t have his white Persion cat to stroke at the time.

  9. According to the U.S. Department of Defense the Chinese steal approximately $136 million in American intellectual property a day.
The West is a free Research and Engineering lab for the Chinese.

  10. Surprise. Still I love locally available Chinese food. Those that settled in our local community are active in a varieties if contributions. They are obviously not just in the food industry but just the same they are a part of my local community. Good people.

  11. Why the charges? Isn’t every Chinese immigrant in a position of responsibility spying for China?

  12. So what exactly did he discover about Hydro Quebec?
Must have been typical Liberal Hugh Treason if the Kleptocrats are attempting to throw the book at him.
If he was really working to benefit China, our treasonous bureaus would fall over themselves to promote and reward him..
So we wait 3 weeks to 3 years until the rest of the story comes out..
Kinda like that “Hate Crime” where the driver of a pick-up truck was convicted in the media of “targeting an immigrant family”.
So what happened at the trial?
    Must protect the narrative..

  13. 1995: Ahmed Said Khadr is arrested for his alleged role in the bombing of the Egyptian embassy in Islamabad. He is later released after Jean Chretien intervenes on his behalf.

Justin Trudeau pays convicted terrorist Omar Khadr 10.5 million dollars.

How quickly will Wang be released right in Canada’s face, again?
