  1. Masks, masks, masks, and stupid, stupid, stupid. Has anyone noticed that after almost three freaking years of doing things that cannot stop a virus, we haven’t figured that out yet? Stupid is the only freaking word that applies.

  2. Masks…..??

    Hahahahahahaha…

The Covidian Fascists can GF Themselves…in perpetuity..it was never about a virus for them….twas the power.

  3. I really hope they go all in on masks and another lockdown, it may be the straw that finally unleashes the righteous fury of the silent majority and puts the state back in its rightful, tiny place.

    1. Do you think that will ever happen in Canada? Each time, the sheep just ask for it to (please) be stuck in deeper.

  4. Today Blackie announced a half billion dollars in military aid for Ukraine. The Canadian media is excited, and reminds everyone to praise our Dear Leader before heading out to the food bank.

    1. Bet more than half of that half billion finds it way back to the Liberal Party and certain Liberals!

  5. This is sour grapes on the Republicans part.

They just can’t accept that the Democrats are so popular that even the dead rose up from their graves en masse to vote for them!

    1. The real tragedy is that so many believe that winning elections will somehow actually solve problems. As long as you believe that politics can do anything but corrupt everything it touches, you will sadly be disappointed.

  6. Re midterms, looks like motives/reasons keep pouring. In another dumb text at BB, apparently Dems will lose next because they have ‘victory disease’! 🙂 Which is something like Japanese had after Pearl Harbour.
No. If GOP doesn’t go back to square1 – make elections/voting system fair and secure, the same will happen 2024, 2028 etc.

I saw a meme this morning:

“You have a device in your pocket that can communicate with satellites so that you can order tacos in your undies but you can’t count ballots.”

Repbs seem to accept the result and play the game by discussing stuff for next time: quality of candidates, who’s gonna be Speaker, Trump vs DeSantis etc etc. This is just accepting to play hockey while rule#1 is: for every puck in the net placed by your team, We have by default TWO pucks in the net.

      1. Ah good ole Stretchen Grechen.
No wonder she keeps winning, always a new set of kneepads for each election.

      2. Yeah, America is a third world kleptocracy with nukes. We know that. The surprising thing is how they were able to fool so many people for so long they they weren’t.

Well, the world has woken up to this fact, and the US is now going to be dealt with.

The US will soon find it impossible to get any kind of “meaningful consensus” built on anything except among aging white countries and Japan/SK.

Heck at this point, the emerging markets will still take US aid, and then just do what they want anyway. They know that when the US finally kicks them out, Russia, China and India have their back.

And don’t give me the whole “US dollar” spiel. The US dollar is over. The Fed is about to cave on inflation.

As I said, high interest rates benefit old people. Inflation is at least a lot less damaging to the young folks.

OK, you might say, old people vote,
        .. right?

        Who cares? Young people riot.

Inflation is here to stay. Bye bye, King Dollar.

  7. The walking vegetable who is president of the U.S., just held his press conference. He/She started off by explaining how he saved democracy from the Republicans. He then mumbled something about working with Xi about global warming, and does not support Taiwan independence. The turnip then announced that staff will be set up to work out issues with fascist China.

  8. The Covid 19 virus is 0.125 microns in diameter.
N95 masks filter down to 0.3 microns.
N95, surgical and cloth masks are like using a chain link fence to keep wasps away from your barbeque!

    1. This makes two assumptions:

      1. Viruses don’t stick to any thing when they pass through a filter.

      2. Viruses when expelled from a human body existing as single virus particles i.e. they are not aerosolized with water/mucus/snot etc. which would make the particles larger, and make them even stickier.

      1. Jesus…

It doesn’t matter how sticky they are or how big the particles are. If they don’t touch anything on the way in or out, the filter is not effective in stopping them. You’re trying to stop mosquitoes with a barbwire fence. One in who knows how many is going to be deterred. The balance are going to pass by freely.

Why is this such a difficult concept for some people?

        1. The Corona virus on its own is roughly 0.05 to 0.2 microns, but the aerosols that contain it are about 5 microns.

When you cough or sneeze the aerosol particles contains the COVID virus can be much bigger.

Filters rated to 0.3 micron should be able to remove 5 micron particles.

Whether you choose to wear a mask or not is immaterial to me.

If someone wears a mask like Joe Biden, and takes it off to cough or sneeze, then the mask is as useless as Biden.

          1. When you cough or sneeze, unless that mask is glued to your face, chances are it’s lifting from your face & particles are going airborne anyway.

I do care if masks are worn. With very few exceptions, it means you’re a willfully ignorant, uninformed fool & have bought into the entire Covidiot narrative.

All this is forest for the trees, anyway. The disease is very nearly 100% survivable. It’s not about masks, jabs or anything else.

It’s about control. Fukc the controllers & their supporters.

          2. Dumb Biker

            “… with few exceptions”

For my education, what are the exceptions?

I’m older and have several co-morbidity factors making me statistically more susceptible to COVID. I got the vaccine after a long discussion with my doctor about possible side-effects. It’s about me managing my risks. I am not wilfully ignorant, nor am I a fool. I made an informed decision. My decision.

I never completely bought into the vaccine will prevent everyone getting COVID, nor did I think it would stop transmission. Viruses mutate. They mutate a lot.

I wrote two years ago that we’d better learn how to live with COVID just like we learned to live with every other virus. Go about our lives and protect the elderly.

I think the lockdowns have caused more harm than good. COVID death rates among the young are very low. Probably lower than in normal bad flu season.

One of my family members got COVID, in April 2020. By far the worst flu he’s ever had. And he was in great shape. He used to go on 100 km bike rides. 6 months after he recovered, he could barely do 3 km. As he says “not your ordinary flu”.

Another good friend only discovered he had it when his daughter got tested, cause she had a slightly runny nose. As a close contact, he and his family found they all had it. This was before vaccinations. My friend and his family had no symptoms, other than one person with a minor runny nose.

Freedom means I have the right to manage my own health. I have the right to wear a mask if and when I feel I need to. But I’m also not going to tell you to wear a mask, even if you should have the same health issues as I do.

I suspect I may have caught COVID myself in March 2022. Did I get tested? Nope. Knowing I had it for sure wouldn’t have changed my decision to stay at home and isolate. It took a week and I was symptom free.

I’m also not going to tell you the vaccine prevented me from having a bad case of COVID. It may have, or I may have caught a mild strain.

          3. Masks cannot now nor ever prevent the spread of a virus. It does not matter what your persinal experience is they cannot stop a virus. Have you taken the s***shots, they also cannot stop a virus. The whu who flu had a IFR of 0.26%, lower than the seasonal flu. People need to get their heads out the stupid is killing people.
Do you debug your clothes, shoes, your entire home? You cannot now nor ever live in a virus germ free environment, your bloody immune system exists for that reason

  9. There is an obvious link between two of OJ’s links today.
The article on Republicans mentioned the “passive” attitude of voters, directly related to the masking madness: passive Canadians.

  10. I think there was a red wave. It was poorly targeted. The Republicans destroyed the Democrats in their strongholds while Democrats had reduced margins in theirs but still won. The Democrats still had to steal the elections in the swing states. You don’t believe anyone actually voted for the Bride of Frankenstein, Mongo Fetterman?

    1. Setting aside ‘stealing the election’, Republicans are not very good at harvesting votes. Democrats are better.

Secondly I think access to abortion was a big issue for young women, and some young men. So much so, that young people who often don’t vote, voted this time.

I suspect, student debt relief, was an issue for many younger people. Forget whether its legal as Biden decreed it, they wanted it.

Normally the economy is a big issue, but I don’t know too many young people who worry about the economy. That starts to happen in your 30s and 40s. Politically active young people tend to want free stuff.

  11. Muslims complaining about Islamophobia? If it were only so.

Dear Muslims, if you are harmless, tolerant, not misogynistic, not bent on engulfing all people, not kidnappers-slavers-decapitators, then SPEAK UP. Maybe you have some way of honestly distancing yourselves from the horrors that doctrinaire Islam has visited upon “infidels” for 1400 years and counting but one must assume from your holy texts that to do so would amount to blasphemy – a death sentence. Please explain.
