  1. Is this just Bozo Bezos and his merry band at the Post telling us what they want us to think, or is it the new stance from the cabal running DC as they sense public opinion turning?

    1. 50 Democrats deleted a letter;
      Asking, Telling Biden
to change course on the war ?
      What’s going on here?

    2. They don’t want an end to the conflict. The objective has been and continues to be to bleed out Russia.
They want to create the perception that Zelensky is the voice of reason to win over hearts and minds in support of the conflict.

  2. Could be they’re grafting more money than they can laundry, Time to slow the tap.

  3. What did they think NATO meant. Putin is an ex-KGB thug. The invasion isn’t a theatrical stunt for the election. War is expensive, nasty, and unpredictable. Putin made his move to control the gas, oil, and coal resources that the Ukraine might send to Europe. Those resources might bork Putin’s virtual monopoly on European fuel supplies. Romania and its oil reserves are next. That is why Romania accepted American troops.

The Democrats seem to be backing down since the money spent on weapons is money that they can’t divert to grift and “Gibs me dat”. Spending money to slap back the Russian play is more worthy than the trash programs that Washington usually funds.

The struggle in the Ukraine is a struggle for the future of Europe. If we walk away, no-one will ever trust or fear us again. Russia made this play. It wasn’t our choice or action.

“Negotiation” with Russia is pointless. Russia already guaranteed the borders of the Ukraine as well as the other Eastern European countries. Russia’s “word” is worthless. Does anyone think that “negotiations” would be appropriate if Mexico invaded and reclaimed New Mexico, Arizona, and California?

Russia’s threat to use nuclear weapons has nothing to do with the Ukraine. In Syria, President Trump conducted an “air show” that made it clear that we could put cruise missiles any place, any time. Putin and the Moscow Bigs are terrified of a cruise missile “decapitation” strike. Thus the nuclear saber rattling. I think that the Man Who Would Be Tsar still feels that he can win on the ground in the Ukraine. I think that the dirt of the Ukraine needs another dose of fertilizer from the blood of the invaders. That is a contest that we can afford.

    1. Who is this “we” that can afford WW3?

Give your head a shake. Canada certainly can’t afford WW3. Neither can the EU. Heck, the world can’t afford a pissing contest between NATO and Russia. Or if you’re that desperate to fertilize the soil of Ukraine with blood, why don’t you go spill your own instead of demanding the sons of others do so.

God preserve me from idiotic armchair generals like you.

Mike. I don’t buy your comment whatsoever.
This is about Globalists wanting to keep their cartel money laundering, Bio Labs, Child sexploitation rings, illegal weapons deals sanctuary intact. PERIOD.

When the Rothschilds are worried…you damned well KNOW the game is and always wasabout THEIR money.

        Mikey = Colon + A S (new moniker)

      2. Agreed. ^^^^^
The US government advises members of our military to go on food stamps, because they can’t afford to feed their families on their current salaries; meantime, it’s spending billions on a European land war. Utter nonsense.

    2. Should the West have honored the Minsk and Budapest agreements they entered into?
Where do you think the 100+ billion the West has shoveled into Ukraine has ended up? That’s 50% of Ukraine total gdp.

Why didn’t Putin go full shock and awe on Ukraine right out of the gate?

You don’t steal elections for Small Ball, Mike.

How long historically has eastern Ukraine been under Ukrainian rule?

    3. “the gas, oil, and coal resources that the Ukraine might send to Europe. Those resources might bork Putin’s virtual monopoly on European fuel supplies”.

This statement is complete nonsense. Ukraine has no significant oil reserves. Its gas production has been falling due to depletion and currently doesn’t meet its own domestic needs. Its proven reserves are 1/35 of Russia’s and its cuurent production is less than 3% of Russia’s. Ukraine does have coal but that’s beong phased out in the EU and those reserves were in Russian ally hands before this war started in any case.

    4. Excellent post Mike, unfortunately it went whooosh over the well sloped foreheads of the broshevick howler brigade and they did what they are programmed to do: howl and flung.

  4. I think it is pivot time. The Americans know the real situation with Ukrainian vs Russian losses, which are probably at least 3 to 1. Ukraine is not in a sustainable operation militarily and their civil society is facing a collapse of the energy system. Zelensky appears to have a drug problem and is not a reliable partner. Ukraine is starting to look like a black money hole. Unless the Americans and/or NATO go all in with direct military involvement, which I think is a political non-starter, the situation is looking bad and the smart countries are looking for an exit ramp.

  5. Is there somewhere to read this article without paying the Washington Post for a subscription?

  6. Are the Democrats once again abandoning a war they were so Gung-Ho for only 9 months ago?
    Tell me it isn’t so!
    I cannot believe it!
Do not tell me Democrats are acting exactly like they did with Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, and Yemen?
The only difference is it only took nine months this time.
I guess everything does move faster in the Internet Age!

  7. Where’s our resident psychotic Davos parrot? Don’t tell me, still waiting for the memo on talking points with Reddit links.

  8. It’s disgusting to watch the WP straddling their own culpability. All of Bezos’ money is available as far as I’m concerned. And so, for that matter, is he.

  9. Ukraine’s war is not our war, it is a civil war. The Donbass historically is Russia aligned. They want to be part of Russia. The Minsk Agreements sought to solve this in 2014, by getting agreement from the government in Kyiv to allow these regions autonomy and a future vote of separation. Kyiv sent in the troops anyway to continue fighting the separatists, until Russia stepped in.
It would be no different than if Canada sent in troops to Quebec to smash the separatists, than France stepped in.
Thats how I view this conflict.
It seems to me the US is deliberately prolonging this war to smash Europe economically, so they can continue their post WW2 economic hegemony over the European continent.

  10. Looks like Zelensky’s next stand up routine will be minus the standing up. Either it’s WWIII or peace negotiations by Christmas imo. The World still needs Russian energy too much. Check.
