Sunday On Turtle Island

Global Warming Scam News:  Eco-terrorists seem to have an obsession with paintings.

China Virus News:  No amnesty.

Biden’s America:  Why men are becoming girls.  The revolt against the elites.  Senator Manchin unloads on Biden.  An old man gets angry and calls protesters idiots.  Your morning meme.

Woke Britain:  Apparently young boys get raped when you demonise migrants.

Today In Islam:  The happy terrorist.  And Palestinian physics.

  1. Manchin’s babble is “pro forma”. Since he didn’t join Tulsi Gabbard on the outside and didn’t denounce the Corruptocrat Party, it don’t mean a thing. Washington Theater. A performance for the folks back home.

    1. Of course that is what it was. He’s shaking in his boots that the electorate will hold him accountable for collaborating with the Biden administration (declared enemy of West Virginians) on the absurd Inflation Reduction Act, and getting nothing in return.

Here’s hoping voters put him on the street.

[Note the W.H. walkback doesn’t use ‘repudiates’ but ‘regrets’.]

  2. RE: China Virus News: No amnesty
Worst part is it was a planned experiment in social control. It was never about the science.
4000 patents going back 20 years. Vaxxes on the shelves waiting for a plandemic.

      Goddamned right. Amnesty…? my (_i_).
NUREMBERG 2.0 w/Gallows for the leadership and MSM.
      Nothing short of that….

Those of you in Alberta should be e-mailing our Premier to Demand EXACTLY that. I already have. I want to see Kenney, Shandro, Hinshaw, etc along with the Board of the College of Physicians/Surgeons all up on Charges of Crimes against Humanity….just for starters….and if we cannot HANG the mofo’s…FIRE THEM ALL & strip them of ANY Govt Pension that I have to pay for.

      1. Don’t forget to include Wretched Knothead and her fairy hubby McGowan. The Dippers and their media lapdogs demanded the hard lockdown that Kenney accommodated.

  3. Too little too late for Manchin. Biden/Obama’s anti coal agenda has been common knowledge for quite some time now. And while he was going all “scorched earth” he should have thrown some shade over to the United Mine Workers of America Union President Cecil Roberts and others in the union hierarchy who inexplicably endorsed Biden last election along with his green agenda in exchange for job transition funding. In essence hoisting up the coal surrender flag.
Beats me why coal workers allow a union to pick their pocket every pay day when they aren’t acting in their best interests, namely working to keep the jobs they have and love doing.
Oh well, one of life’s mysteries I guess. Actually it isn’t. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

  4. Amnesty? I had no idea that there was any meaningful mea culpa emerging. There’s just the one Atlantic article right, and the media physician who admitted her own son was experiencing developmental language delay? I suppose there are other signals that covidiocy is losing ground since there is no mad rush for boosters or vaccinating children, and masks have mostly disappeared, but so far that’s all I see.
Among other things, I have a real animus toward the people who are in the child centered fields. They made no effort to warn parents of the potential for social or developmental delays or offer suggestions to mitigate them. They had to know. It’s not my field, but I knew they were putting vulnerable children at risk, and I have been out of college for 50 years. Just more indication that credentials don’t equate to professionalism, ethics, rigor, or rectitude.

    1. The hardest lesson for me to learn was that it didn’t stop when the covidiots came after the children. I still can’t wrap my head around it.

  5. Trudeau’s at CFB Gagetown monday Tuesday for some sort of announcement. Wonder what hes going to say this time? Can’t be good.

  6. Re. Migrants demonized – leads to rape of young boy.
This is an egregious and easy to spot error. But yesterday we linked to an article touting “Sweden fails to integrate immigrants.”
Sounds insightful, but……Nope. The immigrants failed to integrate.
Put the blame where it belongs.
That shift in language matters, whether it is obvious (today’s link) or less obvious (standard MSM practice).

  7. “Let me be clear, this is something the President has never said to me. Being cavalier about the coal jobs for men and women in West Virginia and across the country who literally put their lives on the line to help build and power this country is offensive and disgusting,” Manchin said. “The President owes these incredible workers an immediate and public apology and it is time he learn(s) (sic) a lesson that his words matter and have consequences.”

Manchin is Shocked! Nay, he is Outraged! Outraged that the guy that wants to GET RID OF FOSSIL FUELS!!! actually says he wants to Get Rid of Fossil Fuels! What did Genius Joe Manchin think when he saw F. Joe Biden cancel the Keystone XL Pipeline, cancel ANWR Exploration, and stop permitting and leasing of Public Lands? Did Good Ole Joe Manchin think his buddy Tapioca Joe Biden was going to exempt filthy, nasty, evil coal because Joe Manchin was buddy-buddy with a corrupt, senile and incompetent Joe Biden?

Joe Manchin should have gotten a big f-ing clue when Schumer, Pelosi, and Biden shafted him on his deal for pipelines in exchange for the Inflation non-Reduction and Money Give-Away Act.

When you deal with dishonorable crooks, you always get your share upfront! Always!

  8. A revolt against the elites?
    I hope so.
    Everywhere.
But in reality that never happens or doesn’t for long.
The laptop class hates the proles and arms/bribes a select few of them to ensure their security.
That’s why Jan. 6 and the Trucker Convoy scared the soft-handed sissy class right to their corrupt core.

    1. joe..

Yep, at least 15-18%. It’s not just Food.
Mens body wash “Axe” a Lrg pump type container used to be, not that long ago ~ $6.50/$7.00 mark…now.? Damned near $13.00. Thats no 15% increase. Bacon thick sliced 1kg : Was 13.45 or so – now near or over $20.00

Theres inflation and then theres in yer face SCREWING you over “cause I can”. I dont give a shit what we are being told, BENDING over is what is happening…everywhere in the Grocery stores and soon to get real Crazy given the Diesel situation.

Suggest ALL stock up on Hard/Canned goods and non perishables…I’ve already started.

    2. Hey, Joe:

I’m guessing our grocery bill has gone up by 40-50% in the last year. I don’t keep a hard count on foodstuffs, but I have a decent recollection of what I paid for stuff a year ago.

Eggs nearly doubled. Milk, surprisingly, only around a buck more. Other dairy, mebbe 25% increase. Meat, 30-40%. Fruit & veg, locally available up a bit, imports from stateside 30%? BC cherries, peaches, apricots, close to double. Bakery (bread, muffins, etc.) up 20%.

That said, I buy as much on sale as possible. On a $150-$200 grocery bill, I’ll often have $50 or more of savings. I impulse buy stuff on sale & toss it in the deep freeze or put it in the lazy Susan. Bread, $1.69 ea for 3 or more, as opposed to $2.29 ea. OJ, only on sale. I’ll often buy meat the day of expiration & Safeway will have a $2, $3 or $5 off coupon to avoid trashing it. It either gets cooked that day or immediately thrown into the deep freeze. We hit Costco for bulk deals on what we can. There’s a local grocer who often has deals on yogurt approaching expiry, I’ll buy a couple and, as long they’re not opened, will survive well past date dead. Once opened, eat them in a couple days, no penicillin, no worries. Was in Stupid Store earlier this week, first time inna while. Saw some stuff way cheaper than what we pay elsewhere, I’ll be visiting more often. I’m not a couponer.

Yeah, groceries are expensive, but money can be saved with some judicious shopping. It doesn’t make them cheap, but it helps some with the sting.

  9. I have a collection of Crocodile Creek children’s puzzles made of large heavy duty pieces made to be assembled over and over again. I bought one last year for my Granddaughter for around $22. I went to get another one for the son of a friend and it was $36, for a cardboard puzzle. Luckily my daughter hunted around and found some at Barnes and Noble for what I paid last year

  10. Re Eco terrorists seem to have an obsession with paintings = Well they are “OIL” paintings.

    OK, I’m leaving now.
