  1. And with love from Trudeau.
That currency that you’ve been squirreling away under the mattress for decades?
Zippity do da……..it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on. Stripped it’s ‘legal tender’ designation.

Wondering if that Canadian cash that Mulroney got is expiring too?
    Hmmm…things to contemplate….

  2. The increase of all that new business was the same time I noticed a decrease in the number of calls I got from Visa, Amazon, etc. telling me there were irregular charges to my account.

Perhaps they found a more gullible party to scam?

  3. Federal/national governments are inherently incompetent, malignant and corrupt.
The US needs to eliminate at least 75% of its departments/bureaucrats and to its north, Frozenturdistan, 90%.
    Minimum.

  4. A friend here in Canada got a $50k gift from the US government just by applying a year ago. She sent me the application link and I said that I believed I made too much money to obtain a similar prize. She said they didn’t ask how much she made and they were not concerned that she lived in Canada. WTH?

    1. Am having to try to help a client whose business went fairly far south and who applied for some funds. This could get interesting. The criteria at the time were so imprecise that it was difficult for anyone to sort out the details. That being said, I think all foreign students who received money under whatever program should have to refund same. Their families don’t pay Canadian taxes; they don’t get Canadian benefits.

  5. The schemes are designed to enrich its creators and their confidence friends.
    Simple as that.
How do you think the politicians and bureaucrats leave with million dollar accounts.
Nothing to do with wellbeing of the “self-governed”.

  6. Pretty good way to buy votes. And everybody who compromised with Mammon to dip into the gravy is also less likely to resist future gub’mint stupidisms.

The elites who are supposed to be the watchmen on the walls for this sort of mischief, well they were silent. There is a short list of these worthies. Politicians, bureaucrats, academics; all are known.

The journos who said nothing, even though it was their job. A few more names on the list. You can also add the ‘letters to the editor’ editor class, as they suppressed the ‘golly gosh’ feedback from the people.

You can trade off the squandered cash against the list of the damned. There are no secret scum anymore. A bedbug you can see is a bedbug you can squish. This does not solve the problem of the existence of bedbugs, but it does address the particular problem of your personal (state) bedbugs.

  7. PPP = the Paycheck Protection Program is a $953-billion business loan program to help certain businesses, self-employed workers, sole proprietors, certain nonprofit organizations, and tribal businesses continue paying their workers.
