Could we also see the clause in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms that allowed the federal government to instantly strip Canadians of their God-given rights? When will all of the politicians and government officials who so badly mistreated Canadians citizens be held accountable for their misdeeds? If they were criminally charged for their horrendous actions, would their defense be, “I was just following orders”?!? Hmmmm, where have we heard that before? *

While the government has eased off on covid restrictions for now the country is still being transformed into a post nation state under the control of a cabal of global socialists. Actually, the clause does exist in the Charter for the government to strip Canadians of their rights. It’s called Section 1.

One would think that the Notwithstanding Clause would be in tiny print at the bottom; no sireebob it’s smack dab at the top. We were trolled, laughed at. P.E.T. said “Just watch me Fuddle You”.
Actually, the notwithstanding clause is something different than Sec. 1. The NC (Sec.33) allows a legislature to pass laws that violate certain sections of the Charter, but not all of them. It also sets an expiry on such laws, subject to renewal by a future legislature.
Sec.1, on the other hand, is an interpretive clause, allowing the Courts to balance Charter rights with societal norms. Sec. 1 and Sec. 33 are not the same thing, but both can and do have the effect of making the document almost meaningless.
The Charter of Blights and Fiefdoms favours the paternalistic state over the freedom of the individual, and I suspect the state will prevail in any upcoming COVID litigation. That we have any genuine rights in Canada is both an illusion and a farce.

Anyone who believes this is wilfully or maliciously ignorant, it’s right there in section 1 of the charter:
“The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.”

I’d also direct you to Section 6 sub 4, and Section 15 sub 2; which allows the governments to engage in racism and sexism for the benefit of groups that previously were discriminated against, even if the individual beneficiary never experienced said discrimination. Section 25 and Section 35 gives special rights to aboriginals.
The charter was never designed under the theory of “natural rights” , it was designed by a group of persons who believed in government power and the importance of collectivist group membership.
However, the legal battle that Premier Peckford and Maxine Bernier have been waging, with Keith Wilson QC as their rep, takes aim at the Transportation clause.
I saw both of them last night speaking in Victoria, supporting local candidates. Mr Peckford did comment a little on the case.
He’s concerned. The case is now with the court, for judgement. His concern, is that the government scumbag lawyers have now tried to intervene twice, to the judge, with additional letters to the court, after evidence was presented and the trial wrapped up.

etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a

wonderful government “help” is a problem confronting the future of
democracy in America & Canada, you might want to share this with your
friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life,
