  1. On Saturday night I noticed a straight line of at least 30 lights, equally spaced, moving in unison across the sky from West to East. My father in law remarked that they were coming from the West so probably not Russian (nuclear missiles?). They were silent and freaky.
    I checked Google and within ten seconds I learned that these extraterrestrial objects were the output of Elon Musk’s Space X Starlink service.

    1. Saw the same thing on Monday night while hunting in central BC. Estimated about 40. Third from last seemed to be missing.

      1. They seemed to disappear as they travelled directly overhead. I think it was because the sun wasn’t reflecting off of them at the higher angle. Musk wants his name up in lights…

  2. The Canadian junk foods list left out Cheezies – only available in Canada. When we go to the States I always take a bunch to share with our deprived friends.

  10. I would change the list:

    1 ) poutine, for sure, but the outlets these days do not cook it right, nor do they have the right ingredients. You have to go to Quebec. They rough cut and deep fry the fries, have awesome gravy and local curd cheeses from real farms or farmer markets.

    2) Nanaimo bars are awesome. Always a treat growing up

    3) Butter tarts are tarts, so served in tart dishes with pastry.

    4) Tortiere pie – very unique simple French Canadian dish

    5) Maple sugar cookies

    6) Clamato juice (not invented here, but we like it)

    1. What government (i.e. taxpayers) will bail out Credit Suisse?

      And how big will the bonuses be for the Credit Suisse executives?

      1. Big bonuses because they stuck it out and helped in the bankruptcy (their Nortel-Sears moment of how to empty the treasury before you pay out the employee creditors). No mention of how they grounded the ship. Now rumors are circulating that Duetsche Bank is not far behind.

  15. Two Canadian food contributions of a multicultural flavor would be ginger beef originating out of Calgary around 1980, and butter chicken being offered up as the latest innovation around the same time at a certain restaurant at Coxwell and Gerrard in TO.

    On April 25, 2022, the Government of Canada established the Public Order Emergency Commission to inquire into the circumstances that led to the declaration of emergency that was in place from February 14-23, 2022, and the measures taken for dealing with the emergency. Justice Paul Rouleau was appointed Commissioner.

    Is it a place to start documenting the damage this criminal gov has done to Canadians ? Or just another fake ‘investigation’ that will find jt free of all charges?
