Global News’s viewers – just like CTV News’s viewers (as I pointed out just earlier this morning) – indeed the vast majority of ALL MSM news viewers – are at least 70+ years old (and that’s arguably a demographic undercount) and include a sizable plurality who are institutionalized shut-ins, many of whom, again by virtue of enfeeblement or restraint, are incapable of changing the channel when it comes on.

    If this funding is key to their financial survival then they would have a fiduciary duty to preserve that source of revenue.
    The only way to do that is by telling whatever lies are required to keep the Liberals in power and to prevent the political party that is committed to ending that funding out of power.

    So where are their conflict of interest disclosures?

    How can a media company run political news or opinion pieces without also disclosing that huge conflict of interest?

    Every CPC MP should ask every government funded ‘journalist’ what portion of their salary is paid for by us the taxpayer at the beginning of any interview.
    And when they won’t answer that then then the CPC MPs should simply begin every answer to every question with an ‘As we all know, XX% of your salary is paid by the good citizens of Canada’ remark.
    And make that number a little high so that they will get busy denying it and correcting it.

        Any use of the word Zoolander is instantly banned.
        And they have banned almost every variation of it as well.
        Z00lander is banned, (Z double zeros lander). Add spaces, extra letters, whatever, it’s all not allowed.

        I did slip PMZoolander by them until my account was shadow banned.
        That is something else they do, you can see your comments but nobody else can.
        If you ‘sign out’ you can watch your comments disappear.

          In a response to another’s comment, (I never respond directly to my own comment, that’s inviting “trouble”)
          I can sometimes get in 10 lines, though not always.

          I’m not registered to comment at Sun, National Post or Global, TorStar, CBC etc…

          I do see many people have commented on FB news sites that they are routinely bounced from CBC’s sites for stating quite normal opinions, these would be opinions which are simply outside of CBC’s narrative, not truly controversial, but simply different…

          and of course, no one can currently comment on CBC’s FB pages, as that’s too risky.

  15. Good news story. Chorus Entertainment, which owns Global TV, reported its quarterly returns recently, and lowered its guidance of future revenues. The woke company said its losing advertising money (why, I do not know, but it is true younger generations no longer watch TV).

    1. Used to watch Global out of the corner of my eyes while having dinner because it was just after a program my wife watches. It was mostly out of curiosity, to see which stories they would run, which ones they would ignore and how they would distort facts. I stopped because I was becoming the old man that yells at the TV. Global was absolutely shameless in their propaganda and lies.

        Me too, decades ago. If it hadn’t been for the newspapers I was reading at the time I never would have known how much of the story was being deliberately suppressed.

        1. I started to pay attention to the lies and supression around 9/11. For example, supressing the news that Palestinians were dancing in the streets and passing out candies. Now with satellite radio, I like to compare the news channels driving to work. Canada has exactly the same talking points and buzzwords than theuS does for big stories. And also the ones that are supressed or distorted.

          1. I was a latecomer to recognize the suppression and media bias (less than 3 years ago) and it began when shortly after Trump was elected. I was never a Trump fan because I watched and listened to legacy media but I soon got tired of the constant Trump bashing. Around the same time, I realized the Toronto Star – my weekly Saturday morning read – was going woke. I know, I know…it had been woke for many years. I was just slow to realize it.

            Then, thanks to my new wife, I was introduced to sites like SDA, and BOY, were my eyes opened!!

            Now I don’t believe anything MSM or Big Media produces or publishes.

  16. I remember near the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing, Trump made an announcement about the Artemis program: Establish the moon gateway and later a mission to Mars. That should have been big news: the next step in space exploration. Global ran a clip where Trump says “the moon is part of Mars” and cutting the rest. Trump was saying the Moon gateway program was part of the Mars program. Dwana Friesen made her cute little resting bitch face and said Trump could not tell the moon from Mars and that “astronomy is difficult!”. This level of TDS was off the charts: The President announces the next step in space exploration and all Global could do with it is make up a bullshit story that Trmp can’t tell the Moon from Mars. Don’t like Trump? Fine. But this level of dedication to disinformation and bullshit was something else. I hope Global implodes.
