  1. This hasn’t been on the news so there’s no confirmed reports but over the summer there’s been consistent rumors of attempted arson at Cypress Hills Prov Park (Sask side). Family in the area are saying 6 arson attempts. On Saturday, there was a fire north of the old boy scouts camp in cypress that required both helicopters and water bombers to get under control.

    Normally open roads in the park have been blocked off this sumner and people asked to report any suspicious behavior. Cypress Hills is one of the most visited parks in the province because of its unique landscape so hopefully this person is stopped before they succeed.

  2. Waterloo is a REAL District in London …

    But the song is about so much more than the locale. It’s more about HOW to see a place. To extract the beauty amidst the turmoil of life. There are a few Pop/Rock songs that are considered “perfect” compositions … this is one of them … another is Whiter Shade of Pale … Waterloo Sunset should be on everyone’s play list … or whatever kind of awful digital “hit parade” people listen to … while missing the BRILLIANT back catalog of genius musicians

    Ironically (or not) … both songs were released in 1967. What a great time to be alive! Esp. at age 12. I was just starting to understand the allure of the “vestal virgins” …

  3. BTW … Black Eyed Autotune Peas. Not only don’t I get it … it’s a disgusting predictably repetitive sound … like fingernails on a chalkboard. Yeah, yeah … I sound like my dad …

    1. You’re assuming Russia wants all of Ukraine, which isn’t the case. But nice try, moron.

      1. None of us really know what Putin wants;
        a) when he invaded
        b) now

        Putin has said he’d like to restore the Soviet Union.

    1. Good link.
      There is of course another way.

      While I’m not advocating, you can certainly affect change by effectively affecting the directors of change. Of course you can go much higher and get even darker. A terrible place, I’d bet, but option #7 is out there…for both sides.
      My guess is that the neo-Marxists have hundreds committed to entering these shadowy places to ensure their route is uninterrupted.

  4. Old piece here, but never heard about the five-month-old Canadian film “Wildhood” until last night. It’s about two male native Indians in “love”. And as one can expect, the CBC is enthusiastic about the forgettable flick:

    Wildhood was funded by the Canadian Media Fund; and is celebrated by the taxpayer-funded CBC. Media moguls go to the government trough for money; government bureaucrats approve the funding; government-funded media write glowing reviews about the film.
