    1. Smith is the *only* choice at present for Alberta, despite her flaws. There are some but this misogynistic article is not where to find them. Toews has a weird history with a school that banned yoga and preached against teh gay. Jean is a big disappointment. Blaming Smith for the 2012 loss is kinda stupid-the polls were just off and expectations too high. She did make big mistakes in the following few years, but it’s increasingly clear that the ‘social conservatives’ ie mouth-breathing trogs of her party were impossible to work with, and politically toxic.

  1. I caught the movie “Being There” starring Peter Sellers airing on TCM the other night. He played dim-witted Chance, the gardener, (Chauncey Gardner) a shut-in who learned everything he knew only from watching TV – cartoons, comedies, soaps, etc. He was described as having mush for brains by the maid he was working with. As it turns out, he loses his employment, but circumstances happen where a rich tycoon takes him in, introduces him to POTUS, who quotes one of his simpleton phrases in a major economic speech. The movie ends with the powers-that-be whispering that Chauncey should lead the next presidential ticket.

Sounds sorta like what the DNC did for the 2020 election. I only wonder why they put forth a candidate even dimmer than Gardner?

Canada, not to be outdone, finds itself with a leader of even lesser wattage, but someone with no morals, integrity, or ethics. What is really unfortunate is that the guaranteed 10,000 hour life of this dim bulb expired years ago…

  2. For those of you who are too young to know about REAL music, played by REAL musicians and REAL creative geniuses …behold the GREAT Rod Argent … of The Zombies (and later “Argent”)

Even his fossilized apparition can play a groovin jazz-rock fusion Hammond organ like nobody else. Yeah, the Zombies were an also-ran British Invasion band with a couple of radio hits … meh. Until you examine the incredible FLAT OUT GENIUS of Rod Argent.

  3. NOW can we discuss the one-use plastics ban regulated on us. YES these dangerous metal straws are being sold as replacements for one-rime bendy straws.

Boy, 4, is impaled by METAL STRAW: Child almost died after it went through his tongue and punctured major artery – cutting blood supply to his brain – but was saved by his doctor father

    1. Kind of absurd. If the issue is ” one time use” , those plastic straws can be easily washed*, particularly the wider ones. Surely we have more important pollution issues to focus on.

    1. Sounds as if they’re as incompetent as the Canadian gov’t/CRA who kept sending cheques out even when the banks were warning that multiple cheques were being sent to just a few bank accounts.

    1. I guess Biggus Dickus is out, then? How will fighter jocks express their penis size now?

    1. Some biologist..
It missed the biggest collection of infected rats..
City Dwellers in their little temperature controlled bubbles.
Injesting every form of food.all with their various pathogens, viruses and resulting diseases..

Cities are your toxic breeding grounds.
From a city the next human plague will emerge..
Forget the livestock and the battery farms.

      Burn the Cities.
If it saves just one life,500 years into an imaginary future..It will be worth it.

One can argue that without cities and the trade that sustains them, the Bubonic Plague would never have spread..

One could take such idiotic positions if they belonged to the Cult of Calamitous Climate.

Gang Green,as beneficial to society as Gangrene is to a body.

  4. I am going to support Danielle Smith, she is not a social conservative but is a fiscal conservative. She is getting attacked by all the media and all the commie university professors witch appeals to me. Brian Jean went crying home after losing to Kenny instead of staying and trying to influence policy, the rest of them seem like status quo establishment types. I am hoping Danielle has learned from previous mistakes. I do not always agree with her but I think she will stand up to Trudeau.

    1. Jean, who I previously met and thought was pretty intelligent, has been a huge disappointment. IIRC he was one of the luds who attached opening up the Foothills to coal mining. Recently, he also demagogued about gas stations supposedly ‘ripping off’ Albertans. Jean, if you wanted to dictate the price of gas, you should’ve opened up some gas stations instead of going into politics.

Smith has her flaws. She really needs a philosophically grounded mentor-advisor.

      1. Smith is the only one in the race with libertarian leanings. That means she will be ok with individuals pursuing the goals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. She is a fiscal conservative. She also will not put up with the Bong’s bullshit.

It’s said there are no second chances in politics. Her judgment in the past was flawed. She admits it was. She is the only candidate in the race who isn’t a progressive.

        1. Exactly, exactly, but with the caveat that I don’t think Toews is a prog, just tainted by his time with Kenney and that weird Yoga-banning gay-hating school. I’d add that I think Smith is the best choice to bring the hammer down on Notley & co. Get her out of her.

    1. UnMe – this is truly not what those of us in the “pro-life” camp would ever expect to fall under any “anti-abort” laws. Given the circumstances, we would all say – sadly – termination is the best option for both child and mother. Reading the article, it rather sounds as if the doctors involved were playing politics to rile people up about “unreasonable” laws instead of just signing off and saying “this kid is never going to make it, so let’s end it now”.

  5. Over at the CBC a WEF functionary explains that there is no WEF conspiracy. Nothing to see here folks, move along. No comments allowed on the CBC story.

It is my firm opinion the entire WEF conspiracy theory can be traced back to a refusal to believe that our politicians can be this stupid without outside help. I can assure you that they are indeed this stupid with or without any help from the WEF or anyone else.
