  1. “While the year over year reading of inflation declined from 9.1% to 8.5% in July …”

I understand that to mean that the drop in inflation from
    June 21 to June 22 9.1% to July 21 to July 22 8.5%
was caused by a zero increase in the month of July.

The arithmetic more or less works out.
    June to June 12 months 9.1% = .758/month.
    July to July 11 months x .758 + one month 0 = 8.58%

  2. The inflation rate is a derivative — that is, the change in prices. Jean-Pierre has misinterpreted it as the function value, thinking that a drop in the inflation rate means a drop in prices.

She has a BSc, so I know she studied calculus. She should demand her tuition back.

    1. You would think, but you would be wrong. Sociology majors get a BSc., and that is a science degree for folks who find math, um, er, hard. These days gender studies majors probably get a BSc., because they know how a vagina “thinks”, close enough to biology.

    1. “Just for a minute I thought there was a video of Joe falling out of a limo….”

That made me LOL… Well done…:)

    1. On that score, she’d tick even more ‘desirable’ boxes than the current incumbent does…!!!

      God, I shouldn’t given them ideas…

Pop quiz. If Biden is the worst President in U.S. history, and he is, is Harris the worst Vice President ever?! And for a trifecta, is Pelosi the worst Speaker ever?!

  3. The real tragedy of this news item is that some people are so mathematically and financially illiterate that they will actually believe the nonsense that FJB is spouting.
