  1. Among the things I inherited from my father was an assorted collection of CDs which he had in the garage. I gathered that, for a while, he had a Columbia House membership and he ordered all sorts of recordings from its catalogue.

Among them was a “Greatest Hits” CD of ONJ’s songs. I never figured that he liked her music because he had a preference for country & western.

I know you have watched bad Chuck Norris films.
I know you have watched bad horror films.
But have you ever watched a bad Chuck Norris horror? … set in Ismael? Yes, really.

A film so bad that is isn’t good, it is just really really really, like really bad. No chemistry between actors/characters, 100% generic script, the whole thing is like a craft dinner, bottom shelf, pass the best before date, from Seven-Eleven at 6AM with a serious hangover. It is poor quality recycled plastic broken toilet brush from a dollar store.

Don’t thank me for linking it. There is nothing to thank for, unless you made it a point of honour to watch all Chuck Norris films, or have some other weird fetish, you will not enjoy this film. the film is like Steven Seagal, it establishes the base line.

    1. Thanks. Another round tuit list flick….

In return, here are two Terence Hill/Bud Spencer movies, but they’re not westerns.

      In All the Way, Boys:

they play a pair of bush pilots who end up in a South American mining camp. The plot’s disjointed but there are a few views of older aircraft.

Miami Supercops was released soon after Miami Vice went on the air:

I suspect this movie was trying to cash in on MV’s popularity, though I’m not sure if it wasn’t also meant to be a spoof. Even the soundtrack appears to have been influenced by Jan Hammer’s score for the TV series.

Both movies are suitable to have running in the background while, say, sorting out your collection of nuts and bolts.

    1. According to the Daily Mail, her father was an MI5 agent and she had other famous relatives.

      1. Isaac Newton I understand. I have so many wonderful memories of songs she did that were sweet and innocent and then “Let’s Get Physical.” The title track from “Grease” redeemed her.

  3. The girl of our dreams – sweet, pretty, smart and could wear black leather better than any hooker.

    1. That hit me in the heart. Just returned from hosting a memorial service for my beloved wife with family and friends who were unable to attend her funeral back in February in our home town.

They are singing powerful words, indeed I will not be able to find another like my beautiful Bride.

Now to move on with my life. Cherish the memories, incredibly thankful for the 30+ years we shared. Thank you Jesus!!!

      1. I’m sorry to hear this. This is a beautiful tribute to your wife. May God grant you peace and comfort.

      2. Glacierman.

I feel you huge…33 yrs with mine and no one will Ever replace her.
        My condolences sir…

    1. Our last cockatiel was crazy about corn as well: corn on the cob, popcorn, corn flakes…. If we were eating something with corn and she didn’t get a share of it, she would hang upside-down from her perch, flap her wings, and create a mess. Feathers, empty seed husks, bird gravel all over the place….

Fussy beast she was. She died nearly 40 years ago and I still miss her.

  4. I posted a link to this yesterday. It is a very good summary of the problems with government Covid policy and vaccines. I have also downloaded and read the source material from RFK Jr. — ” A Letter to Liberals” It is a solid critique of the vaccine agenda and thoroughly referenced. A link to the RFK document is included here:
    https://www.lewrockwell.com/2022/08/lew-rockwell/kennedy-exposes-big-pharmas-covid-plot-to-destroy-us/
Scroll down about two paragraphs. It’s a pdf, 56 pgs, but lots of charts, so a quick read.
The tone is very thoughtful, so a good document to pass on to your brain dead Liberal friends, if you have any. It really is hard to argue with his take on things, that for most people, the vaccines are a bigger health risk than the virus.

  5. Linda L.

    Liberal Friends…?

What are those, I know enough Conservative Loons that truly need to, but will not accept anything but Govt/MSM Narrative. Their Daily ritual (OCD), of in home Testing confirms their complete subservience…and abject IDIOCY, particularly given, I had thought them fully capable of discerning utter Bullshit from Actuality….but my faith in them doing that, has vanished.

Today. I have a significantly smaller circle of friends (& Family) than 2.5 yrs ago…and that is the way it will remain…No plans to Blue Pill for me…or my lovely wife.

  6. Fresh out of Instapundit:

“LABELING AS PROPAGANDA: ‘Made in China’: Apple tells Taiwanese suppliers to relabel products. “Apple told suppliers on Friday that China has begun to enforce its rule that Taiwanese products be labeled as being made in ‘Taiwan, China’ or ‘Chinese Taipei,’ both of which indicate that the island is a part of China.”
To be clear, the law applies to Taiwan-made parts (and other items) shipped to Communist mainland China for final assembly.

    – LOVE to be a fly on the wall for that conversation!!! “NO! Buy ’em somewhere else if you don’t like it!” And c’mon, be reasonable – with Taiwan making 90% of our chips and a crushing worldwide chip shortage currently in full swing, who else will buy all those Taiwanese chips that Apple refuses because they don’t say “Made in China” on them? – I mean, other than “Everybody all over the world”…

I predict this will work-out as well for Apple, as boycotting Australian coal worked-out for China. Confucius say, “be careful who you pick a trade war with…”

    1. Not to worry, if the small measures used today to thin the herd aren’t fast enough, there is still starvation to do the mass cull.
