    1. I can tell you from first-hand experience yesterday, that not all cops are like that, but yes, there are plenty of bad ones still wearing the badge.

      1. I hate that I have to rag on cops, fc, they were heroes to me when I was young. Not just that, but as a dumb-ass teen bombing around in my ‘hot rods’, my stunting and speeding surely gave them reason to be hard-asses, but I always treated them with respect and was rewarded in kind. I experienced this with cops from every force I encountered… until I moved to Calgary, lol.

        It is the system itself which is corrupted, so where we know there are ‘good cops’ out there, the fact they are still willing to work within such an obviously corrupt system makes most of them ‘suspect’, IMO. You arrest a guy for throwing a Molotov cocktail at your cruiser or for spitting in your face and the courts just release them and you still stick around? Or on crowd control, you are instructed by your superiors to apply the law to groups differently, based on such things as their race or ideologies? Man, I’d be gone, pension be damned!

How did they solve all their problems? They renamed it Maskwacis. 12,000 Indians on 4 reserves and another 6,000 members who choose to live elsewhere.

  19. This is unfortunate. The Pope’s visit will get a lot of public attention. I see the residential school issue and the Freedom Convoy concerns as complementary issues. Oppression did not stop with residential schools and people should remember that. Natives are also hurt by vaccine mandates, and may be especially vulnerable to side effects. Participation by Freedom Convoy supporters at one of the public events, reminds us to continue to fight against tyranny. Surely most native people would support that.
